What's faster than web hosting?

Page load speed depends mainly on the size of the page and the way that javascript is rendered. Way down the list of factors that affect it are things like the speed of the server/host.

You can have a dedicated server pumping loads of RAM and cpu's, but if your page is crammed with oversized images and your js rendering is messed up it's going to load as slow as shit.

A web page that's on a slow host, but is set up properly won't run optimally fast, but still much faster than the first example.

Good thing about Digital Ocean is that they have a huge and really well made knowledge base of walkthroughs. In fact I learn to manage VPS myself by learning with their materials mainly.

True if the script or js is messy it will not load or take too much time. On slow web host it will be disastrous.
I agree website script should be on top then webhost

Not the hosting it`s always faulty in terms of speed but the application which runs on it.

If your page size it`s 8mb you can have even NASA servers, still will load badly.

I just checked it out, and it doesn't seem like a bad option for someone who doesn't know their way around servers. To be honest though I think it's best to either take the time to learn how to do all the things that Webinoly does manually, or just hire a sys admin to set it up properly, because from experience the things that Webinoly does are only the absolute basics of setting up a good VPS, and if the only way someone new to sys admin set their VPS up was using a single line of code they copy and paste they're going to be screwed when they want to optimise the server or do any serious backend work.

If you take the time to learn you can do all of the things that Webinoly does in the space of about an hour manually, and then you'll have the knowledge to do your own backend work when needed (with the help of some guides and stackoverflow probs).

Saying that, if you are a non-dev and want to set up a VPS quickly for wordpress and don't really care about fine tuning it, it could be a solid option.

How about an Server from Frankfurt. Europes Internet Exchange Point.

From Frankfurt you have the best commection to every other company in EU or even outside EU.

I run a site with 1.2 million visitors and many more pageviews monthly on $10 vultr. I have been with them for years. DO and linode are similar to this. You don't need a plan greater than $5 for hosting a number of starter sites

Also setup cloudflare and caching plugin

SSD hosting is always faster than hostings using spining disk Also use vps/cloud can make diffrence in page load.
Managed vps/cloud are not cheap and digital ocean and aws are cheap but they require lots of attention and time to manage yourself

What kind of website technology are you using? Static page or self coded stuff?

Wordpress etc. Would be slow as hell

i have always got similar question as well, thanks to all those who reply brilliantly here, i find answer to it.

Yes, Cloud VPS. From my experience: Recently I have configured a VPS server for a WooCommerce site it can handle around 7K+ requests per minute with just 1 Core CPU + 1 GB RAM. I also twist the Server Configuration. (Loader.io tested)

I use High-Frequency Compute (high clock speed CPUs and NVMe SSD powered) from Vultr.com. It's really awesome & Satisfying. You must be a technical person to manage the VPS or get a Control Panel (Free/Paid).
