Because you said that source code of WorrdPress is a mess, it´s like saying that some bad coders pure html code is bad. Definitly there are better and worse themes/pagebuilders producing bad or good source code, but that is not WordPress fault.

Only Wordpress! It has the best security features of any free blogging software, it is so easy to install and use, and its themes and plugins are also very good.
Nothing Can replace at this moment.
 
I don't think there is any CMS better than WordPress. But if you want an alternative to WordPress for e-commerce, you can choose Wix or Shopify. It is also user-friendly for an e-commerce website.

what makes me really confusing with the gutenberg editor is this;

Before gutenberg, you installed your free wordpress theme and the HOME layout appears in the classic editor.
With gutenberg not, I can not see the HOME layout ,all what I get in gutenberg editor is a blank page.
So why wordpress org offers free premade themes when I must build my page who is blank in gutenberg, myself from scratch?

It costs a lot of time.

screenshot as example;

you install this theme and open it in the gutenberg editor= page is blank. It does not load in gutenberg with the premade HOME layout/template.
This makes working so confusing with the gutenberg.

I think it's easy to be 'the best' when there is basically no competition.
 
install a theme who ha sits own fonts, font-size, font-family, then build your custom page Home with Gutenberg or Elementor.
Then any block or pattern /template you add to your pagte has a different font-family and size.

Make all of them looking unite is really a plaque, a lot of custom settings to do with that easy cms....
 
sorry for my typing errors, my fingers are not sensitive enough sometimes for typing with pc keyboard....
For me from all these cms exclude Squarespace, is wordpress the most user friendly and easy to use.
But the problem with adding blocks is a nightmare, on some blocks the width not match with the theme, most blocks have different fonts.

Horrible and time consuming to fix all this with css for each block, then you get bloated wordpress with additional css codes.
Does gutenberg not have global setting, where you can set width, fonts-size and font-family for all added blocks ?

A wordclass programmer Team 8wordpress team) they are not capable to do this, come on.....

that's usually called top-nav or nav or sub-nav in your wp theme settings.
think it is almost always set it up in appearance > menu's. then "pointed to" in your theme nav settings.
make sure it's set to "sticky" should your theme allow for it. assuming you want it to be sticky like your example.

But you not recognize this you are fanatical to that so easy to use wordpress.....

Squarespace can do this easy breezy others too but wordpress not, think about it....
It's so sick today this unfriendly user customize logo setup in wordpress , make me sick....

uffff I take a break little bit sleep it makes me sick this whole crap logo customizing.

its probably easy and you are overlooking a simple setting
what's your time worth? lots of WP experts here. chances are hire someone who has potential to fix it in 5 minutes.
 
So far on my experiences, the Astra theme is the only theme who shows logo+ site title side by side, all others not, they have logo or site title but not both.

To have this yes,code snippets are all around the web, but it's not easy, many of these code snippets not working well with the themes and vice versa...

My view of this special task: no, not easy with wordpress. I wonder why programmers coding such themes?

But you see most companies or big guys in the web world have this on their site. Wordpress team making the rules for theme coders, not the other way around.

They not allow it to have logo + site title side by side on a theme, this makes absolute no sense to me.

It's taking a while but Ghost is getting there. Eventually I believe it will be the superior (but not more popular) product
