What you achieved in 2023?

Lemme share mine,

Things i am proud of
- Moved around few countries, some in Africa and met lot of cool people
- A year where I have not been stressed about money
- Less screen time and more time spent in outdoors with people
- The year i got laid the most, im in my 20s. so lemme have this one :D

Things i am not so proud of
- Too much partying, too much "substance use" although not addicted to anything
- Didn't get much work done

I want to keep moving, meet more people. but maybe less partying and getting more work done coming year.

Destroying my mental health in 4 years of constantly fighting with myself. But this year I understood I shouldn't fight myself (and other people).

Being an engineer is not worth it if your math skills are at 5th level grade and you can do something else.
 
I achieved an all-time high blood pressure and worsened my heart rhythm problems as a side effect - thanks to stress...

Jokes aside,
  • This year has been my best one monetary-wise.
  • Did some traveling to a few nice places.
  • Registered a new business. Set up 2 new registered businesses for early 2024.
  • Learned more knowledge than ever before.
  • Wrote me some killer plans to prepare for startup fundings for early 2024.
  • Got myself to the semi-finals of a national competition for entrepreneurship (finals will be held in 2024)

If I were to change anything about this year,
I would have focused more on my health. We only get one body to live in, it's just plain dumb to abuse your own body. Too bad I realized that way too late.

I am an entrepreneur now.

Not being fit.

What lessons have you learned and carrying it next year?
No matter what or who denies your idea, if your intuition tells you to do something,just do it.
 
I saw your thread and looked back in this past. I had a plan this year and I never stuck to it. I did nothing. Wasted a whole fcking year. :)

I agree with this a lot. The internet and life as a whole can change so rapidly that its best to have multiple things going at once. Anyway:

What have you achieved this year?
- Started multiple new projects and connected with some good knowledgable people in and outside of the internet

What are you proud of?

- Still Gym after all these years
- Still hustling. Not all the time successful, but trying

What are you not so proud of?

- Procrastination
- Not enjoying life
- Not taking every project serious
- Not paying taxes in advances (Big Tax Bill this year)
- Generally my Lifestyle

What lessons have you learned and carrying it next year?

- Invest more time in yourself
- Don't judge people based on how they appear or look at you. Talk to them and then you'll know
- Nothing good comes from comfort
- Have more fun cause you'll only live once
- Do not care about what other people think cause it doesn't matter

This year my react native skills growth was huge and now I can handle almost all kind of apps. And yeah now that I am thinking feeling proud of it.
+1. Learned to fo latin dance and found new passion on it

I got out of debt without having a normal 9-5 job.

What are you proud of?

Just finished my first fiction novel.

What are you not so proud of?

I didn’t leave the house much as I was busy working and writing all day

What lessons have you learned and carrying it next year?

I got way better at understanding and working with Python and JavaScript which is the key base for my 2024 plans .

I have paid the biggest income tax of my life this year. Quite an achievement huh. :,(

As for being proud, I finally got to launch my first bst in bhw after being in the forum for more than a decade. I am proud I passed the review. :)

As for lessons, I learned two things this year.

1. Love the work, not the company (if you are in a 9-5 situation).
2. Being an entrepreneur is awesome, but you need money to make money. Dreams are good, but putting food on the plate is more important. Have something that earns you enough money to pay the bills every month. 9-5 jobs are excellent for this.

Sorry, these may not be helpful for anyone else lol.

Attempting to make big money with 9-5 is a recipe for burnout in my opinion.

It's good for average salary. Higher than average salary, you're gonna be running a company for your boss lol.
