Hi Folks

Wanted to test a notorious BHW package, about 300 diversified links between web 2.0 , edu links, social share, article submissions.

The keyword is 30k + /mo and I was stable at 38 from weeks.
Links started to be deployed 18 aug and completed 22 aug to this page only.

Now, this is what happened after:

Now, more than 3 weeks are gone and I personally never seen a dance like this.

I know almost for sure it is NOT anchor over-optimization.
WMT doesn't show any penalty.
Others pages are ranking great and not impacted at all.

Now, this is how I am uncertain to proceed:

1- disavow entire package and prey Odin to recover , but I'm scared this url will be "scarred" lifetime and will never rank as before

2- disavow entire package, mix up the article and put it in a new url waiting to rank from scratch and changing the most of links pointing to it from the old page ( obviously here I cannot use a 301 )

3- wait and hope It will naturally recover and rank ( i doubt that last one )

What would you to in my shoes?

if u have issues with the seller between what they offer and what u got, contact them first
I done it but he deny the evidence and saying his package would never bla bla bla..

Already gave me a refund, but he is just not objective and cannot help here.

I'd continue to build decent links to the site... there is a possibility this is a dance but a surefire (almost surefire as nothing is guaranteed) way to work this out is to build decent links at reasonable velocity.

300 links to your page inside of 4 days, unless you had been building like that already, is not something I would want for my sites.

Reasonable link velocity, quality links, lots of naked urls on a constant basis is what you want to do to see if you can bring it back up.

you seem to have had a big drop on the 17th before you started the package or exactly on the 18th? if so drop might not be only due to package; other than that yes this package seems toxic; so disavow some of it.

This is a pure nightmare, everything you do has a chance to make it worse, wish you luck.

Ranking started to drop exactly the 18th when the links started to be deployed.

for rankings to drop so fast, you must have done many links all at once.
give it some time and disavow some of it if it does not improve back to where it was.

Have you asked the seller to remove these, instead of doing a disavow?
Nope, but seeing the spammy nature of them I highly doubt he can remove them.
The evidence is that this is a service you can point to t1 and not directly to moneysite.

Will follow the path BTB suggested, hoping it's not totally f'ed up.
If in 2 weeks I will see no improvements I think the only option left is to mix it up the article and create brand new page / url and disavow entire package

I guess Sherlock hacked you.

I decided to proceed as @BassTrackerBoats suggested placing only HQ links; yesterday dropped the first RD300+ link to test the impact.
This is so from 4 hours from now :

Seems to be quality is the best medicine.
Will update in next days.

Good to see it coming back... maintain link velocity with quality and I bet you'll be fine.

A quick update

after pointing some top quality links from trusted sites it not only recovered but started to rank again (when it started to drop it was 38)

All the links were from domains with not less than 300RD.

Seems to be Google was like

18 aug - Are you really trying to trick me with this shitty links?
22 aug - Yes you are...so f*ck off
Sep 15 - Ok maybe you're legit
Sep 18 - Ok I trust you but lick the bottom of the serp just as reminder to not f*uck with me again (more probably serpbook crawled a non-updated google DC but it is fun to think google threatening)

Lesson learned..but I never imagined a "package" (yes....package is the right definition...a package full of SH*T ) would do such damages, even more so it is one of the most "famous" of marketplace.

This is a very small example of the "quality"

I already notified it to @I know SEO because found the original review made years ago by a trusted mod not already valid and in some way misleading.
I bet when he original reviewed the service it was legit but now...

Thank you again for the hint @BassTrackerBoats I didn't really believed it would be recoverable , I was ready to start from scratch.

Will update again last time when I will reach page 1 steadily

Cheers

I suggests you option 3 for a while.
Try to build links to your site in a perfect rhythm and with quality niche relevant content.
300 links all of a sudden is not advisable at all !
