I've spent the last few years investing in properties and things of that nature, but I keep always finding my way back to this forum. It just seems like investing in websites, blogs, and the internet is the way to go. You have more control, no tenants, and everything is literally at the edge of your fingertips. It's also quite less costly to start up something and see it really flourish. When I first joined this forum 4 or 5 years ago I had no idea what I was doing but I learned a lot. I didn't have the right funds (I was only a teenager) to really get anything off the ground. Now I've been back and just watching and reading - tempted to jump back in the internet world now that I have the funds to invest.

If you had $10,000 to start from the ground up. How would you go about it, knowing what you know now? I guess I'm asking so I can follow the advice, but I figured this would be a good thread for those like me who just lurk...and really do not have the proper knowledge to really chime in.

If you have the knowledge, invest.

There are literally thousands of different ways you could invest. Just start reading around, find what INTERESTS you and research the crap out of it. Only piece of advice i can give is have a minimum understanding of what your diving into. this forum is filled with so much knowledge, you should be able to find help on every aspect of whatever you decide to invest your time and money into.

There is a lot of things to put $10,000 into. If you spend it right and have the right ways to talk you can make $30,000 out of that money in a year if you invest it the right way.

Why dream with 10,000 $? Dream big with 1M $ and say me what you will do with it.

It's never a good idea to ask those kind of questions here.
Look at how useless the above comments are.

Also, beware of the private messages, you are going to receive.

Buy an authority site. Get a designer and copywriter to improve the contents. Bank for a year or two using ads and affiliate links. Once you're bored with it, sell for double-triple what you've spent on it.

my first "real" job out of school was a commercial real estate analyst. There's real money in real estate if you can find well maintained properties in good areas with high capitalization rates.

personally if i had 10k, i'd buy inventory directly from manufacturers rather than going through suppliers. Or I'd look into buying a site off of flippa.com

Yeah I guess you're right. The question was more of "what would YOU do" with the money. A way for people to throw around their ideas, and explain the different ways to go about it. Sometimes people forget that a forum is for just that....discussing and trading ideas. Hopefully some people contribute some good ideas.

Personally, I'm thinking of stating a blog that interests me. Write 100 or so unique articles, and try to attack a certain niche. Nothing to make a crazy amount of money, but just to get me started.

There is real money in real estate. I'm just always worried that there could be a market crash again and I'm left standing with an empty bag. I also want to diversify my investments since I have barely ANY from online ventures.

From what I've read, Flippa seems to be dead? Or am I wrong?

real estate is great but as they say its as liquid as a brick meaning if you wanted to sell it latter it could take some time, I'm in that boat right now. Why dont you think of some automated software, game or app you'd like built, head over the the code mongoose thread here on BHW and have them build you something special. That's what I did recently and soon the site I asked them to build will be ready, a dream I've had for 6 or 7 years now.

Once this game I am having built takes off I have a list of other games I want done.

I've had a few ideas for coding apps or games, but to really get that off the ground seems a lot tougher than just making something special. I think it takes a lot of luck as well. I'll head over to that part of the forum though and check it out. Thanks for the idea.

I PM'ed you my Skype. While it's great to toss around ideas, not all of them should be shared on a public forum.

What works for me may not work for you.

You need to find out what's good for you and develop on it.

Don't be afraid to try new things, new ideas, inventions it may just be your ticket to a million dollar check every month.

LMAO, has money to invest in properties but thinks setting up a blogspot is the way to go lol

Is this just another bullshit story dressed up to ask the same old question yet again?
Just ask the question "How can I make money online?" rather than all that waffle first.

Somebody who has the knowledge and capital to invest in property, may want to diversify and start online businesses too, but they usually start their research without asking noob questions.

So much bullshit on BHW now.

You're telling me you've never asked a "noob" question before? You logged on Blackhatworld for the first time and knew everything? The biggest part of research is talking to other people who have tried and failed and comparing it to your accomplishments and failures. There's no "waffle" in the story either, I've been a member for over five years. Was active the first year, then got a real job, and haven't really been around since. I was just trying to personalize my post, I guess that's frowned upon these days?

OK, I may have been a little harsh and I apologize for that, but this type of question gets asked every other day and achieves nothing.

Also, if you DO have $10000 to invest then I am sure many people are PM'ing you right now with their wonderful opportunities.

The answer to this question can change in a very short amount of time. The things I did that made good money 10 years ago would not make you a dime today and even things I did two years ago have really changed a lot. And so does someones willing to stick with a program. A few years back I was giving away free websites. They were all simple wordpress sites and I found a great free method that allowed me fine a lot of people who wanted the sites. I was giving away a site a day (around 30 a month) and I was getting $125 per sign up on hostgators affiliate program plus I was getting a few more smaller affiliate sign ups and was making close to $4k a month doing it.

Now $48k a year working from home with easy work was a decent living. Not going to get rich but I could have ramped it up some but honestly I just lost interest and moved on to something else. There have been a lot of these methods over the years that I just got bored with so I think part of the key to doing this is finding something that you really have an interest in.
