Firstly NEWSFLASH, keeping house is work and if you dont understand that you are in for a rude awakening. To put it in terms guys can understand you have to think of it as a hotel - you need routines, systems budgets and menus if you dont get your cleaning organised your hotel is dirty and smelly, without menus food and budget planning then you are quickly in financial trouble. Same with your house.
SECONDLY: if a woman with money is asking you to live with her its about LOVE and not power. if she wanted power she would marry a financial equal or superior.
LOVE and SUPPORT are what she wants from you and if you dont do a good job at keeping the home as a sanctuary or providing meals that are special then you wont last too long in the relationship as you will have failed keeping your side of the bargain.
clean house, good food, someone to listen to her when she comes in and sex are whats required - if you dont deliver the story will be over.
What are the problems for you - lack of self respect. It will bother you that she pays all the time and you will feel embarrassed telling your friends you dont work. when the waiter gives you the bill and you pass it to her, that will wear you down.
Solution: Agree a household budget that includes money for entertainment to cover you both so that when you go out you have the funds to pay.
Some people have no work/financial ambition and are quite happy knowing that if they do a good job as a lover, housekeeper, that is enough for them. Is it enough for you? I suspect not as youre worried about what people think, so
Get one of the following:
A time consuming hobby eg golf
A part time job
A baby
Everyone needs a purpose if being a great lover/housekeeper is not yours then you need to find something that is.
In conclusion, your girlfriend loves you and wants you to help her she probably thinks she is also helping you. Question is how much do you love her? Is it enough to move in and commit completely?
