I’ve been testing different ways to acquire early users for a B2B SaaS product.
Broad outreach produced replies, but very few people actually tested the product. The conversations improved after we narrowed the audience and focused on businesses already experiencing the problem.
A few observations so far:
For those who have grown a B2B SaaS product, which channel delivered your first consistent users: cold outreach, partnerships, niche communities, referrals, or content?

A few observations so far:
- Targeting matters more than outreach volume.
- One urgent use case converts better than a long feature list.
- Hands-on onboarding reveals problems that analytics miss.
- Active usage is a stronger signal than registrations.
- Feedback from paying or active users is more useful than general opinions.
