What to do to get that extra edge?

K ive been WH Seoing for an year now and as a result I was in the top 3 for 2 months... but as the competition grew i slipped lower and lower.. and now am on page 35.. im following my competitors and making 30 links per day.. bookmarking.. blogroll links.. articles.. everything.. but no matter what i do.. my rank is not even moving and its been like this for 3 months now..

what to do to get that extra edge.. ?? any ideas will be highly appreciated.

How old is your domain?

Seems like you are doing all the right things. Maybe just your SOC is too high and its time to move on to another domain?

What are the top 3 doing that you are not?

If you were top 3 ranks and now you are on page 35, link building is not the answer, I would look at website structure/ on site aspects to be honest.

Becuase if it was that easy to get to the top 3 and now youe on page 35 something is up...

k so i guess some more info is in order..

the site in question is a blogger blog.. its about an year old now.. last october through december it was in the top 5 rankings for my main keywords..

to get there i made some linkwheels (5 at most) some articles to ezine and others.. bookmarking... getting blogroll links from my other blogs and followed a spammer by making 30-50 links per day..

i kept doing this and felt slowly falling in rank... till im now at page 35.. for some keywords and at page 7 for some....

since the fall.. ive changed the blogger theme to teh newer draft themes.. ive made MORE links.. ive made more linkwheels.. ive followed more and different spammers.. but NO MATTER WHAT I DO.. my rank will not change.. its been like this since january and is getting frustrating..

will appreciate any help. Thanks..

btw my blog is related to a specific software niche and my competition is not one of the big sites like download.com and etc.. but normal sites like mine

For starters, stop making linkwheels... they are now affecting sites negatively
because G sees them as not natural.

Are you still adding articles to your blog? Have you done anything obvious that could get you penalized. That sounds like an awfully big drop for no reason. Something went wrong somewhere... hard to say without seeing.

done nothing wrong that i can think of.. and i dont add articles on a regular basis.. i only added 6 reviews and thats it.. never added again..

ive discussed this before here and it was settled that this does not get one penalized
