What To Do Against "Big Dogs" Websites ?

So i'm currently working on keyword research and i found a keyword that has 2k/month volume and is not targetted by any website of the first 2 pages.
the problem is that all the website have a high domain authority like quora, pcgamer ect..
so is it possible to outrank them with simple white hat seo?

Any keyword is possible to rank with the right budget and knowledge.

Work out if your ROI will be worth it.

Pointless ranking it if links will cost you more than earnings.

You'll definitely need to bump your website's authority in the process, in order to compete.
Either get a similar parasite that has similar authority, and blast it with a targeted PBN contextual link, in order to make it appear more relevant to the keyword, and that should give the a run for the money.

Not much easy to outrank those, because those sites will have huge backlinks history for those keywords. Still, check with the backlinks strategy they've used for ranking, it may give you some idea.

It depends on their relevance and content. But if they're targeting those keywords on purpose, you'll have a hard time.

Hi

If these 'High Authority' websites aren't relevant to the search term, and if they haven't mentioned the keyword in their titles, you can still rank for this.

The best way is to become an authority on this particular 'keyword' you're targeting. Create a silo structure under which you can publish multiple articles on the same or relevant topic.

Over a period of time, your page should reach 'Page 1'.

If it's not specifically targeted by the authority sites for the keyword, I guess you have room to be in the top positions in the serps.

Killer on-page targeting the specific keywords and a few decent back links should do the trick from experience.

beating quora, tripadvisor or any other user generatred content is quite easy as long as the article is not a direct match.

say your keyword was "errection dysfunction" and the quorae article on #1 was about "penis enlargement", you got a chance with stellar topic and very excellent relevance of your website.
Mind you...creating such a page is not all that easy and won't probably work with cheap copy writting.

The big ranking problem starts, when big editorial website target the exact match keyword (or very close it it).
So, if business insider has an article on #1 for "errection dysfunction", then you will not outrank them without extreme measures.
