I reached out to you directly, just one person to another, the way you’d expect in a normal situation.

It wasn’t about feeling pumped or an adrenaline rush, it was more a moment of surprise seeing that you tagged me.

I spend a lot of time on the forum and know a good number of members, but you, you seem new to me, so I wanted to see what was going on.

My first impression was that you might’ve been scammed by someone and tagged me in a post.

So, like anyone would in a typical situation, I reached out to clear things up.

It definitely wasn’t because of any baseless accusation about $4K that I supposedly "stole".

Not sure what is going on here, but looking at what you wrote am guessing you communicated with someone scammer outside of this forum who told they are MODS on bhw?
