So a potential asked me the following question on Linkedin . .

"What kind of SEO do you do?"

How am I suppose to respond to this?

I thought there was only one kind.

Just . . . SEO?

Well yeah, theres only one SEO but it can be categorized in OnPage SEO and OffPage SEO. Maybe he means that?

And if he means Off Page SEO you can go into more depth of categorizing SEO such as :

Influencer Outreach
Guest Posting
Social Media SEO
Social Bookmarking
Forum Submissions
Blog Directory Submission
Article Submissions
Infographics Submission
Local SEO ( Google my Business)
Web 2.0 Submissions

etc.

maybe he would want to know what SEO do you focus on or in what part are you most knowledgeable. like for example, for me I am more knowledgeable in backlinking, other might be more knowledgeable in analytics and stuff

Maybe they are looking for your action plan. What you would actually do to rank the website rather than just the technical terms for SEO.

Just elaborate on what the benefits of SEO are. And be honest, say there is only one kind! But you know there isn't right, but I guess you dont want to mention black or white.
