When you use the Google Keyword Tool, what Global and Local Monthly Searches in #Numbers# tell us that Niche may be profitable?

What are the minimum volume searches needed? Pls elaborate if you have experience on this. Thanks!

In general, try aim for anything higher than around 800 global monthly searches. Anything less is not worth your time if you are trying to profit from Adsense and such. There are exceptions though, so my best advice would be to experiment and see what works for you.
Edit: Make sure you are looking at [Exact] match results too, for a more accurate figure of search numbers.

What do you mean profitable? You mean more than your hosting costs? Not trying to be a dick here but the question is a bit weird... get 800 SUPER targeted visitors in desperate niches and you're going to bank very good... get less than that and you'll still bank. It's that simple.

I think its always going to be variable - I have a few niches Im working on where Im targeting anything over 200 monthly exacts - because the CTR and CPA is very high.
If your in another niche where conversions are low then you'll need much bigger volumes.

I think the point is when you are researching a niche, you cant just look at one factor alone to determine competition.

same thing as above.. you got to look at the profitability.... I have success in 200+ exact monthly. But I try to go big, and you need to realize that the more profitable targeted traffic you get, the better. So, if I can't own (#1-#3) for 10K monthly exact within 6 months, I move on. There are WAY too many possibilities out there to be a sitting duck on a non-performing site.

Low searches equal low profit

Higher searches mean more people more money

Higher searches usually takes more time and. work to rank

Well I don't think the search volume for "buy a learjet" is high, well actually i took the liberty to look it up for you... exact match is 28.
If you sell 28 learjets a month, I think you make a good profit, don't you?

Meaning, there's no general answer to your question, depends on the niche/product and profit margin...

Wouldnt u make alot more if the keyword "buy a learjet" have 10000 exact searches per month?

What im saying is higher searches is alway better

of course it would, but don't you get my point ?!?

last sentence:
"Meaning, there's no general answer to your question, depends on the niche/product and profit margin..."

Actually, even ranking at #1 position, 800 monthly searches translates to a max of 300-360 visitors. Yes, you'll still bank, but maybe put 5-6 more related keywords with equivalent search volume to work on the same site, and it will improve the bankability.
