Here in BHW we are always trying to manipulate the G algorithm. However I was wondering if the more knowledgable members would like to offer their thoughts on how it may change. We have seen G put more strength behind domain age and less on page rank but what's next? Maybe if we can work it out we can for once be ahead of the game;)

this is a reactionary business I don't think people spend much time trying to predict the future of what google is going to do, thats more the folly of a white hatter or some corporate hack

'Relevance' is the key factor that Google will probably shift towards. My assumption is that authority, such as that brought by domain age and PR, will become less important compared to relevance. I mean, type in 'social networking.' What's the first real result?

Wikipedia.

Results 2?

Facebook.

My assumption is those positions should change, as Wikipedia, being an 'authority' site, holds spot one for a lot of terms.
