What methods actually work these days?

Is every method overused? I know from experience, linkwheels are dead. So the only method left is a random link structure and building low-tier links?

What other methods are still working? Any help would be much appreciated. I've been reading stuff here and I can't keep track of all the exact methods that are working today. Thanks!

Do some natural SEO i.e. blog comments (some ******** some nofollow), direcotry submissions, bookmarking...

I still believe the basic SEO is the best practice and yields best results...

yeah linkwheels seem dead, unless you can make your 2nd or 3rd tier link look chaotic. You would need to pay for a blog post (guest post), blog commenting, article submission, backlinks from your other websites, etc.

Wow...pretty broad question. Linking still works if you know how to do it right. Contextual links seem to do better than forum posting links in my opinion. Linkwheels seem overrated, but I have had limited experience with them...

get backlinks - that still works no matter what people say.does not matter where you get it from.If you make it seem natural,you will get rankings and $ eventually.but yeah,one thing you have to remember is that the filters get added every now and then.So that is what can make some people's job a little tough.Aside from that,nothing has changed since a long time.

I think the "method" of building something of value, and sticking at it still works. Others may know this as a "business", instead of a "method" which is much more short-term in time frame and usually results in you jumping from "method" to "method".

How are linkwheels dead can someone explain? if i create a post and link to money site and as well as another blog.. create a link wheel.. Will i not see any result.. I am just a beginner clarify my doubts.

A "linkwheel" is a basic structure of SEO and is the basis for almost every succesful campaign in some capacity or another.
There are so many variations to a link wheel that they can't possibly die, but they can certainly be incorrectly executed,
wasting both time and money.

all methods, written exactly as they are, are dead.

all methods, when twisted enough in your own ways, still work.

so... if you want to be spoonfed, you're out of luck. if you can actually use your brain, you might have a chance.

You really have to have a variety of links to your site as well as to sites that link to your site in a random chaotic manner as well as good onsite SEO of course.
