Just an example not give a f... on metrics, especially not DA / PA / PR

How to filter out spammy domains?

Domain
maconcountydemocrats*com
PA - DA - PR -- DL -- BL --- refIP-- MR -- CF - TF - CF/TF
50 - 40 - N/A-3182-2644 - 1617 - 4.48 - 21 - 7 - 3.00

High PA, high DA, good MozRank, CF ok

Now it comes:
way to high referring domains(DL), should be <200
too low TF: should be around equal to CF
and
if we take the Majestic Trust Ratio (DF/TF) it is 3.00 and should be lower than 1.8

so it takes 30 seconds to say, that domain is spammy.

and the evidence:
https://web.archive.org/web/20130603132731/http://maconcountydemocrats.com/

one check of the last sentence in payback machine and no need to look further.

Conclusion: always check backlinks and wayback machine and don't rely on any metric, especially not DA / PA / PR!
Maybe just TF and the ratio to CF, which could serve as a pre-filter to exclude spammy domains, BEFORE hand checking of backlinks, history, no of registrars and drops.

Hope, it helps

Based on that procedure yahoo.com is the most spammy domain ever.
