What linkwheel?

It been suggested that G will notice the pattern in the link txt.
for example if you always use the phrase "Click here to get more action" w/ action being the link. google will notice the pattern.

I was wondering if the thing with the link text isn't a bit over-weighted. Have a look at Angela's linkstructure. There is not that much variations.

You know, i cannot 100% prove they do, but what i do si safe and works so.....

This link wheel stuff is spreading like wildfire all over the webmaster community

Good question.

PER horseshoe,w e looking to avoid the web 2.0 properties finding out is why...I use a template in excel to track them

I see, but a lot of the web 2.0 sites allow for multiple websiite/blog creations such as squidoo, hubpages and wordpress. I wouldnt see a need to change IP and email for these

I have some thoughts that I want to air about the horse shoe method.

First I want to say that the properties are likely to rank well with this method. However I am not so sure about the money site.

You say that the linking structure will cause a PR snowball which will end up at the money site. I have some doubts based on my knowledge of PR theory:

1. PR transfer over an external link is subject to a damping factor of 0.85
2. PR is distributed evenly between all outgoing links.

Based on these assumptions, the PR transfer in this network is inefficient. Let me explain.

All sites start with 100 points of linkjuice (just for convenience). I have studied the external link features of many properties and a good average is about 20 external/nofollow links which cannot be removed. Linkjuice evaporates when it hits a nofollow link.

So, squidoo starts with 100 and sends 100 x 0.85 / 20, or 4.25 points to Hubpages. Hubpages now has 104.25 points to send to the next site - but of course it can't as it's nofollow for most people. Let's assume we replace it with a ******** property.

This property sends 104.25 x 0.85 / 20, or 4.43 points of linkjuice to the next property.

The next property now has 104.43, same calculation etc.

When we get to wordpress or weebly, which are great for a tight PR flow, we see our PR being divided over only 2 other links. So by the time we get to weebly (which we will call the last property for simplicity) it's got something like 107 points of linkjuice, which transfers 107 x 0.85 / 2, or 45 points of linkjuice to the landing page. You can control the flow of juice from that point onwards.

So we've done all that work, made all those properties, but we've charged up the last site before the money site by less than 50%.

Now, I don't doubt that this horse shoe system works, especially with the elegant linking system with no 3 way closed loops. I am going to try that myself in order to get some properties on page 1. I am just doubting the reasons why, and I feel that it's not very efficient for getting a money page ranked.

I think that google looks at links between relevant sites, sees they are in the text body etc and assigns the links a powerful ranking score. This is why linkwheels work. If the 2 laws of PR that I have stated are correct, this must be the case.

Therefore, new linking models should be based on relevancy power, and not the flow of PR, which tends to be very inefficient over most web 2.0 properties.

I find it best on my own efforts to include my own Wordpress blogs / auto sites into the mix.

This way its not links are from well known web 2.0 sites.

Link Wheels also should have no recipricol links in them as well.

the standard lemonsauce one I do doesnt, however I have used examples from other sites that have one or two in them.

Recipricol linking doesn't seem to have any real effectiveness these days for me.

It used to, but nowadays, 1-way and 3-way linking is what gets great results for me.

What did you guys think of my linking concept?

Also agree with anchor text... i have a lot links with here as the anchor text for that reason.

Hi Casinojack, Ive been anaylsing the Horse Shoe method and have a few questions.

What is the "landing page"? Can this be another web 2.0 site?

Do you find you Moeny Site ranks well?

Do you find that the landing page ranks well?

How well do the other web 2.0 sites rank? Have you taken over page one?

I love reading your posts, you explain things very well.

In this case, i was showing the evolution of this design.. as you see later on, the good thing is you get a lot more juice, less chance of sandbox, etc etc..This first design i agree is not efficient by it self

Of course this concept is to be used in conjunction with others, and not just stand alone, but on its own I have had some great results.

Thanks for the analysis...

1, Sure

2. yes, and again this is on methos to use...for HUGe terms, is just a tool in the toolbox.

3. yes also

4. i also do not only use web2.0 properties but i was trying to write a guide for people on tight / no budget. There is a more advanced method I use that i control the entire structure, but takes time and money..

I am going to ask you the question that others will want to know. What is the more advanced method?

yup, would like to see that also. was looking at this and looks efficient even if a property is taken out.

One of the things I have been focusing on perfecting is build a link wheel but only one link actually points to the main site but it still gets all the link juice that the normal link wheel gets. So in theory you could build 10-12 of these a day and not get the big g specious.

Its pretty simple actually, I am just trying to perfect it all I can. This is in my free report, but sense all of you guys are internet marketers so you probably don't want to opt in I well give you the overview.

Here is an example of what I have come up with:
30lz1n8.jpg

If you want to see it more close up you can: Here

For the most part I was trying to be different because I think Google catches on to the popular linking strategy's pretty fast. So the first think I did was split the link wheel in half, then I picked a random spoke in the wheel to point to the main web 2.0 property.

I another big thing was I didn't bookmark one of the web 2.0 property's, the reason why is because: It off sets the link wheel, I think if you get 100 links all having the same weight/link juice Google well know something is up and this is away of throwing Google off.

The thing I love about this is, unless you build thousands of these a day you wont get bitch slapped by Google. Because there is only one link pointing to your site and its not even your home page, its just an SEO upped page. And so far I have seen a lot of success with it :)

BTW: I was in a rush writing this so I could not get into much detail but if you have any questions just ask.

platinvm, thanks for your input, looks interesting. If you strip away the bookmarking and the RSS, then it reminds me of the Horse Shoe by Casinojack.

I think there is something in this one super link to the money page
