What links should i build for diversity ?

Any links type that you use as a powerful link can also be used for diversity. Or, you could look for links on those platforms that cannot easily be spammed.

Old school - forums/blogs/press releases, (for local only) citations, social profiles - i dont think anyone uses bookmarks these days naturally, so i'd avoid those altogether.
 
Avoid web directories and forum profiles. I have had bad experience with using forum profiles as diversity links on T1.
 
PBN, guest posting from blogs that have relevant niche with yours, article directories, forum posting.
 
Nofollow links are also important since it help diversify the link profile. Social Shares and Blog Comments will give you some nofollows.
