What ius up with Howie Schwartz

If money were not a factor (it is) I'd have no doubt went to one of his Connecticut meetings. I got my first SEO job based on what I leared from reading his stuff, so can't knock him. But like the rest of us, I do think his stuff is pricey, plus at times I get tired of receiving his emails.

Just remember all the 'gurus' are only in it to make money from you... they are not your friend... they dont give a toss if you make anything... there sole goal is to part you with your cash, and send it in their direction.

Everything they do... everything they say is aimed at this goal.

Wiz hits the nail completely on the head you will learn more from seeing how they try to con you than you will ever learn from reading through what they 'try to teach you'

And to anybody who tries to defend a 'guru', well that 'guru' has just done his job very well...

IM sick of his 3 emails in a row every day. ever since he announced his retirment he has turned into a spam whore and relauching products he swore he was pulling off line forever crap

Actually in the world of Gurus he is one of the better ones. I read his PDFs and he usuually recommends a couple new 2.0 sites I never heard of. Wouldn't pay his prices though!

1. Can't share Howie's stuff in BHW anymore.
2. BMG is hosted on his servers, so pretty impossible to get a cracked/null version my friend.

I personally like Howie and more importantly his marketing skills. Sure he does send out a lot of emails, but at the same time, he's the only marketer I know that gives out as much free information as he does. And his free stuff is usually really good. If you had the drive to do it, anyone could start making a nice income on the side just from all the free information he shares.

Wiz is right. Don't just pay attention to what he's selling but how he is doing it.

my experience is that he got onto the web2.0 properties early and started using tools to help propel himself to the top in many markets, however if you buy his tools then you need to pay a subscription which usually expires in 12 months

his training was at the forefront when CD was released but everyone knows and understands web2.0 properties and how to dominate using link wheels and social submissions as well as automation tools.

there are many automation tools out there so you can speed the process up to dominate the niche..

his dominance comes from outsourcing the majority of the work, a individual would be hard pressed to replicate his tactics without a automation tool or outsourcing.

what is taught in programs like apprentice now is old news and has not changed very much since apprentice 1 first launched. the courses are very pricey and for most people then it is not possible to participate, other issues include that he now only plays a smal part in the programs and uses Project managers to run the show, lastly the information (in apprentice and imleadership) is out there and available cheaper, if you have found your way to bhw then you are in a far better position than his apprentices

like others look at how he markets himself and his training and replicate that style of marketing

I agree with Wiz.

Howie sells almost EVERYTHING in the business niche, from ebooks to software to private coaching. And the techniques he uses to sell, is something that I am learning. And yes, it's very interesting to slowly understand the way he does his business.

But if you want to subscribe to his list, just get ready to get DAILY e-mail from him. Yes, when I said DAILY, it's freakin EVERYDAY man! lol

Met him at a fundingpost VC event before i even knew who he was. Howie ran the VC pitch training seminar and even personally trained me on my pitching skills (had the rest of the class in the palm of my hand, ill tell ya - i was passionate - you should have seen it). Then i found out via this forum what a BH he really was...I downloaded a training seminar video of his and said "Oh my lord thats the same guy from the VC event!"

Wiz targeted this guy right on. Howie, like all Gurus, are not your friend. They are not your "business partner", "mentor", "coach" or friend. They are used car salesmen that use very invasive NLP (neuro linguistic programming) techniques to push your buttons and get you to buy their products.

They want your money and never give a rats ass if you actually make any money with their products.
