What is your review on Windows 11 ?

I wonder how the overall feel is, whats up with the generic layout of taskbars, start and all the configuration menus?

Any extra tweaks to get rid of bloatware and windows fake gaming mode/weird energy plans?

I need coverage of alot of factors first, before I upgrade to Windows 11 I need to know how much impact it will have on CPU/Power and how well firewall works on it.

The CPU check is in the install environment only, if you bypass that it would flawlessly.

I hope it doesn't kill my professional license though lol. I will try with another license perhaps (e.g. those oem keys). Thank you for the tip.
 
So Microsoft wants to adapt to the trends haha
Mac-like design, ARM chip version etc.
Soon no one will want to buy Windows laptops :D

There used to be an opinion - if you can't make a great advance in processors, then the only thing left is more design. And Apple is definitely the winner there.

P.S. I'm a Win10 user (virtualized on M1 macbook) only for win-specific apps.

How did you get the virtualized windows in a m1 mac???? I need the tutorial plssssss. :(

I did not want to disrupt my Windows 10 setup, so what I ended up doing was installing Windows 11 from ISO onto a VHDX.
Windows 10 supports booting from a VHDX file, so you just add a new entry to your BCD and point it to the VHDX file.

That way both environments stay separate and you simply delete the VHDX file if you don't like Windows 11
 
What is so special about Android Apps? I use Jio Phone based on KaiOS

Someone is fan of free and open source tools.
 
I like open source and free software, but I don't 100% prefer it over closed/paid software. I prefer Microsoft Office products over LibreOffice products, mostly because I have a free subscription.


There's an option to make the task bar look more like traditional windows
Right click Taskbar
Click on Taskbar Settings
Click on Taskbar behaviors
"Taskbar alignment" switch to left from center

I haven't installed it yet.

Will wait until the EXPECTED bugs are ironed out and a TRULY stable version emerges.

are you able to do a review (when you got time)
on the new file explorer features
Is there any new things to it making "productivity" or "navigation" easier
Or is it just a revamp in the design with new UI and icons

As far as I know, its mostly just a new design.

Maybe the option to open in "Windows Terminal" after right clicking in a folder/on a folder is something new for productivity. It's enabled by default, I think on windows 10 I had to enable it.

I see, that's a shame
Thanks for the update mate, really appreciate it.
That was one of things I was looking forward to most.
However, the new design does look nicer and more sleek.
Looking forward to see when I can get a compatible TPM ordered for my mb
 
Visual wise I'm not a fan of the new UI, not gonna install it soon
