If cryptocurrencies were to be the "future money", those who buy it would actually use it, yet 99% just stock it in hope that it will be boom some day. On a quite large utilization, its purpose is partly for anonymity to buy for eg domains or hosting without tying it to real identity, or to buy drugs(and in those two cases you need Monero to be anonymous and not Bitcoin).
Otherwise, you can always find a bar here and here that accepts Bitcoin but it is an enormous minority, and companies like namecheap accepting BTC doesn't mean it is massively used.
Sorry, it is not the future, don't lost too much investing in it.

Lol even the vast majority of people who buy it don't use it, they just stock it because yeah it is more convenient to pay by cash or credit card.
I wish for you you were right, but let's be realistic.

It is a good technology and that is why it became so much popular in so less time. Some use cases are solved only by bit coins so it will stay.

Crypro is great only for the people in countries where they can use them.
In third world countries like mine, it has no impact up until now. Noone really talks about it and surely there will be nothing that will be done about it in 5 or 10 years.
It is like PayPal in the beginning and now. Up until now; PayPal lists our country among the restricted ones. We can't really by anything online unless we pay for international credit card which are not cheap at all.
That is my opinion about it.

Good old governments will take control of cryptocurrency and run it the way they want. The currencies they support will do well others will die off. Decentralization will die off, replaced by centralization. Fiat money will disappear and all payments will take place with digital currencies. Hope this don't happen though.
