What do you think about cryptocurrency? do you think that the bitcoin has a future?

Blockchain has a future, not sure about cryptocurrencies. As they come and go.
But it's better to buy some BTC and ETH each month from your savings.
Also, make sure to keep in mind the crypto investment golden rule #1: Only invest which you can afford to lose.

On a thread before you said this about BTC "I'd go with 10x until 2025"
Thank you for the consistency :D
2025 is not that far off. If BTC slows down, it will need at least the amount of years it took to grow. So 10+ years. When I say BTC doesn't have a future, I mean other projects will grow faster and leave it behind.

Dude what are you talking about?
On a thread before you said BTC will go 10x in 2-3 years, now in this thread you say its old and slow so you dont give to much future for it.

AND THEN

you reply me 10+ years (for something we dont know what for)

What is happening, can you tell?

I just explained, but I'll try to rephrase. Read this wikipedia article on the Lindy effect: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindy_effect

Taking this into consideration, BTC is already 13 years old. For it to die we need at least the same amount of time. That's where I came up with aprox 10 years.

When I say old, slow and rigid, I compare it to other blockchain projects that improve much faster. In my mind the Bitcoin blockchain will be gone, but the BTC token can live on other blockchains as a token.

Just so I make myself clear: I believe it will do 10x in price until 2025 and also will slow down and die in the future.

Why the future, it already plays a big role in the present. I use cryptocurrencies almost daily to make payments, so this is definitely a useful invention.

As an investment class, cryptocurrencies are here to stay, despite older competitors ( think precious metals, equities, forex, other collectibles, derivatives, options etc).

The public needs to think about crypto the way traditional traders think about penny stocks …

You know what people are not getting? Crypto isn't just money or assets. It can be digital identity that can differentiate us from AI and it can be governance + voting.

Yes 100% agreed. I mean, even if crypto goes the way of the NFT and “frequent flyer points” and “loyalty points” and those ideas become blockchain specific …

I mean that’s a trillion dollar industry already.

do you think that the bitcoin has a future?
Absolutely!

21 Million Fixed Supply

Bitcoin cannot be printed by governments at will, unlike fiat money like the US dollar. There are only a total of 21 million bitcoins in existence. An estimated 3.7 million bitcoins have been lost, which means they will never be found without the private key. Citizens all over the world are using bitcoin as an inflation hedge due to the continued money creation by central banks around the world.

Decentralization

The ability to conduct financial transactions without a third-party intermediary watching over the transaction is referred to as decentralization. The nodes, or individual computers that make up the Bitcoin network, are numerous. Decentralization is crucial because it precludes an attack on a single point of failure, making it nearly impossible for any government or organization to bring down the BTC network.

24/7/365

Bitcoin doesn't have afternoon or weekend closing times like conventional financial markets do. Bitcoin can be traded 365 days a year, around the clock. Furthermore, sending bitcoin is quicker than making a bank transfer. The Bitcoin network is accessible to everyone. It is an open peer-to-peer network that everyone can utilize, regardless of where they reside or how much money they have.

Self Custody

Self-custody is vital for cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. You don't have to rely on a single corporation, a bank, or legal documents to acquire full ownership of your possessions. In nations around the world with weak property rights, this has a huge impact and gives people more power and control over their finances.

Also useful to note that less than 10% of the final global supply is currently located at the exchanges

Even if you had an unlimited budget and wanted to buy say 250,000 Bitcoin to start a new fund … it would be almost impossible to acquire that amount without 10x the price.

cryptocurrency is here to stay and now we are start to grow pass the early stage. it would not be to long for market to mature for real..
bitcoin? same it's here to stay. it's basicly the gold of crypto world.
