What is your favorite WordPress Page Builder?

Elementor has the cleanest code I believe.

I am used to to WPBakery Page Builder though and can´t get out :D:D

There are some really cool themes made with beaver builder too

If you are going to have more than 1 addon for elementor (element pack, the plus addons, etc.) make sure to disable widgets that you aren't using.
A lot of those widgets add on more and more css and js files, I personally stick with only one, the plus add-ons.

90% of plugins (small ones, not multi-packs like those mentioned earlier) for elementor you can recreate yourself with a bit of imagination & googling.
Other than that the rest of optimization goes as for any other WP website, personally I love using litespeed server with litespeed cache plugin and autoptimize.
I'm using autoptimize because even though LS plugin has those functions, after testing autoptimize proved much better for my current setup.




Looking at it like that yes, you are right. In my case because of elementor I've increased my hourly rate by 50% with my continuous clients while keeping them happy.

I'm with you on autoptimze. Even if I use a cache plugin that can minify css & js, I always find autoptimize to do a better job at that.

It's interesting how you just use the hello theme, I've always thought of combining elementor with a light theme like GP but I guess you have a point.. the less js & css files, the better.

Is it true the learning curve with Oxygen is very step in comparison to other more user-friendly page builders? I´ve heard you need to know CSS in order to use Oxygen properly.

I genuine love Elementor how easy it is to build pretty much anything on it and the incredible amount of add-ons you can get to enhance its features and customization capabilities but I am also aware how much it bloats a sites codes making it a lot slower but, not as much as other page builders on the market.

Been wanting to switch over Oxygen because of this.

Care to share your thoughts on this?

You don't need to know css but if you do know it, you can do some fancier things. It comes with templates, both page and element templates

At first, I was using themes made with elementor but the design was never perfect and I would usually end up remaking the whole website and still dragging that themes bloat with me.
Totally worth it to spent a bit extra time adding styling to basic stuff when in end website is light :D

What do you mean by this? Page loading speed is NOT a big ranking factor?

This is the big question.

Are you referring to manually optimizing everything? Or using a plugin?

Do you have a particular work-flow with Elementor? Have you managed a way to efficiently use it without bloating your site´s code too much? Care to dive a bit more into this topic?
 
Elementor pro feels ok but once you move all your pages to code theres a big gap and you feel more free :D:D
 
Not a clue what all these plugins are, I prefer building my own pages in code

My wording might be a bit off, what I meant is that page builders were awful in the early days regarding optimization and loading speed.

Well it all depends on what kind of website I'm working on. But of course for start setting up all fonts, sizes, colors, adding colors to quick bar etc.

I know from experience what kind of a shitshow it is when you do none of that and you make a whole website with every widget having its own settings

I don't really bother with that, unless it's a serious project. I'm not gonna waste time removing inner sections and then repositioning other elements just to get a same layout with few dom elements less.

i liked elementor most, but I am not using it anymore, I also wouldn't recommend to use for you as well.
