What is the most effective link building method?

You asked for cost-effective, so I'm going to argument around this point of view.

I find forum posting to be the most cost-effective type you can buy at this moment. You have unique referring domains, the backlink is in a context-related topic ( or it should be at least ) and they don't cost an arm and a leg. There is a recent journey with someone buying only those types and was making a killing in organic traffic.

Guest posting is better but it's not so cost-effective ( my personal opinion ). I've seen forum posts going for 9$ a link, and if you think about its lifetime and the possibility of getting click traffic too, it's a win-win.
You just increased my interest in forum backlinks. I've never considered it in the past but now am looking at it.

Absolutely, big forums will bring much more traffic than guest posts.
Lucky for me... my site gets shared on forums and in guest posts (for free)... and I can assure you, forum posts bring by far more traffic... and if those links are d0follow (very rare in my niche), even better.

I do not understand why most people recommends quest posts.
Explain me why are they valuable for SEO :)

In my opinion, if you get link from some domain inner page (in this case - quest post) - it is useless for SEO, unless:

1. That inner page has backlinks from other sites and can transfer link juice to your link.
2. That inner page has link from domain's root and that way has some link juice to transfer to your link.

In 99,99% quest posts you will not get these two above.
Spot on

I have some guest posts on big sites... and those posts are buried so you can't find them so basically they barely transfer any link juice.

There's no single strategy that is good or bad, you need to learn the basics of link building, here's a link to my ebook to help you understand the perspective for link building https://beacon.by/rankerz/structured-approach-to-link-building?t=1613546676

As per my experience PBN and Guest Post are highly competitive and required a ton of grinding work.
Digital PR is the future of link building holds ton on value or else paid link building is best and straight forward.

First i would start with a multi tiered campaign to get the domain 'warmed up' then i would get some guest posts to increase my authority and in the end i would use niche edits to get my buyer intent articles ranked at the top (if they are not there already).

The most effective link building method is by creating valuable content that others will want to link to. You can promote your content through social media, email marketing, and other outreach methods. When you create quality content, others will want to share it with their audience, which will help you build links naturally.

Another effective way to build links is by participating in link exchanges. You can find websites that are related to your industry and reach out to them about exchanging links. This can help you get exposure to new audiences and build links from high-quality websites.

Finally, you can use paid advertising to generate links. This can be a effective way to get your content in front of new audiences, but it can be expensive. It’s important to weigh the costs and benefits of using paid advertising to build links before you make a decision.

Guest blogging is one of the most popular link building strategies.
It's all about creating quality content people want to link back to.
