One way link building is a good way is best one. We can get good and quality of link from other quality and PR websites. We can send request to some friends or buy links from others websites to add our website link there.
 
The best method is to use all of them, that's called link diversity :)

Backlink Diversity is the key for a successful backlinking campaign. It's true that links from a high PR or authority website is very useful, but having too many of these will look unnatural to the search engines, therefore penalizing your website.

You should try with different methods, such as .edu backlinks, blog comments, social bookmarks, contextual backlinks, etc... To make your backlinks look more natural, therefore maximizing the chances of getting rewarded with a good ranking position.
 
According to my suggestions for link building:-
Leave relevant comments on related online content.
Using unique content, original, link-worthy content with keyword.
Publish content to your website.
Add yourself to Technorati.
Find a Wikipedia page similar to your website's content focus and enhance it.
 
A banner that links to your website with ALT you desire.
Gets you traffic, gets you the link, pr, and it's not spam :)

SEO works best if you have some media buying strategy as well.
 
I do article marketing (manual), social bookmarking, directory submission, etc. Plus a few other things that I am adding now like Wiki Posting and some Senuke X stuff. But, I think the main point everyone is trying to make these days is to do things that are legit and whitehat when it comes to SEO and SEM and content building and things like that.
 
You can buy .EDU and .GOV backlinks:)) Invest money in trusted backlinks.
 
The best way is find text link ad exhange network where you can buy high pr backlinks per day basis. I bought many times and got success.
