I've been searching for a good white-hat link building service, but I'm having trouble comparing options.

There are many strategies like guest posts, press releases, local directory citations, reputation managements... but I'm not sure which one will provide the most benefit for my ecommerce website.

Which one you value the most, and why?

Link building is blackhat.

Just go through the reviews, ask for samples, maybe that would help.

exactly, link building is blackhat. according to google you shouldnt build links yourself to influence your ranking.
its up to you to obey the rules, or like most of us just ignore what google says and try what actually works to actively increase your rankings.

I think the best whitehat SEO method is to create a Private Influencer Network, build a network of bloggers and webmasters within your niche, and then start exchanging links, sharing each others articles on social media, etc.

I've seen many large blogs build consistent traffic through this method.

I don't agree. That's utopical.

You can create links in a natural way, like contributing on a very high end blog and have then link back to your website on your Author bio without forcing them to.

They don't know.

Today there's practically nothing like whitehat, everyone is subtly doing blackhat some without knowing

White-hat & link building - there is no such. These are concepts that can not be made one whole.

White-hat backlinks can only be those that appeared without your actions

I don't believe in "white-hat link building service"
Guest posts and on-page are the most efficient practices judging from my experience in SEO.
All of SEOs know that backlinks still work if done at the right pace that is the reason black hat is still popular.

Guest posting, on page seo, social signals are the best options out of the above mentioned for white hat link building.

lol if you agree or not, google doesn't care :P "natural links" for them are when other people link to your page, without you doing anything! thats why they say "build great content" so people will want to link to you.
just read here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66356?hl=en
you can either choose to obey, or go the blackhat way, its up to you..
its funny how whitehats always try to not use blackhat methods and then still pick some and call it "grey" or whatever just to make themselfs feel better.

What are you guys talking about? lol, wake up.

White hat link building is definitely a thing.

However, it is very time-consuming and hence, expensive. (forget about GSA and anything automated)

Just to mention a few, here are some white-hat link building methods I've tried myself:

- Skyscraper link building
Check out this guide: https://backlinko.com/skyscraper-technique

- Genuine guest blogging (not that $5 crap you get on Fiverr)

Undoubtedly creating high quality content alongside a large social media following to help disseminate your content is the best strategy. Aim for writing viral post that will increase your backlinks velocity without incurring a penalty. Alongside this, reacing out to authority sites in your niche for guest posting opportunities is the best method.

Best way of building links know exactly what you are at least assume - even a hunch is enough. The question presented is so super broad and there is not simple answer for it.

The press release would be my first choice and if your business works for local then use local directory citations. Content marketing also should be focused on. You can also try blogger outreach for improving authority, trust, and traffic to the website.

Hey,

All the things you put for us to vote are important, so actually, you need to focus on all of them. Still, I believe guest posting is the best way, but here you need to be aware of site's rankings and quality before you get a link.

Also, getting a ******** link from .gov or .edu site is worthing perhaps 5 times more than getting it from a regular domain.
