Hi, im n00b here and decided create some blogs and my own websites.

So, I want to know, in your opinion, what is the best web hosting provider ...

Thank you

I think you'll find that everyone has their own personal preference here. That question, much like beauty, lies in the eye of the beholder.

However, I can easily recommend HostGator.

I also have been using Hostgator for 3 years and I am satisfied. I also use many more hosting providers but Hostgator is a good service for a n00b.

  • Cheap
  • Good features
  • I like the Live support chat, used it a few times and it's great to have an answer when you need it.

I'm using LiquidWeb right now and have been very happy with them. I've never had the phone ring more than 3 times before getting a real human when I needed help.

Hostgator is my recommendation too. Never had any problems with their service.

one drawback of hostgator is they dont allow hosting scripts on their servers (if you are on shared server)

To be honest, your best bet is to go with offshore hosting, especially HK hosts.

Most of them are essentially cheap Bulletproof servers if you open an account through an offshore or HK corp.

I can second that on LiquidWeb being awesome for support via the phone. I've had nothing but really good experiences with them whenever I've neeed help.

okmisterblack,
Any recommendations from those in HK?

I've got a VPS with liquidweb and have nothing but praise for those guys.

As others have found, the support is absolutely top notch. I generally message them with any problems, and I get an answer back in minutes.

I recommend HostForWeb VPS & Hostgator Reseller.

Both were excellent in helping me gain monies on the internets. No lie.

Ive been using hostgator for some time now and its great.

hostgator (shared and reseller) and rackforce (VPSs) are the two I recommend.

Does anyone know a hosting service that doesn't put limit on the number of emails being sent from it per hour?

Im so not a fan of popular hosts. But im currently looking for a cheap one for an online shop im building. I checked hostgator and they have this Baby Plan for $7.95. Question is, is the monthly bandwidth really 6,000 gigabytes? Seems uber high to me since usually, regular hosts only offer 100 gig, 250 gig or 500 gig. Anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks guys
