I am interested in getting involved in some marketing using Twitter (I know, I know, I am a little late - ha!)

Anyway, I am interested in details on why you think a given program is better than the others. Please give reasons, not just opinions! There are several available and many have similar features. I want to know which work best, and why!

    TweetAdder
    TweetAttacks
    Tweep
    Hummingbird
    Tweet Buddy
Twittenator (I just started using this. It does some things good. But, as I am learning more, there are some shortcomings as well.)

...any others I have not listed?

the three Twitter programs I have looked into are Twitter Snipe, Hummingbird, and Tweet Attacks. from my understanding, Hummingbird is no longer working, so that's out of the question. Twitter Snipe is a monthly subscription which is pointless considering how many one-time payment choices there are. so from what I know, Tweet Attacks is the best. i think Tweet Attacks is the only one that doesn't use the Twitter API which is a huge advantage. just from reading the forums it definitely seems like Tweet Attacks is by far the most popular and the software of choice for those who are making a lot of money from Twitter. so id go with Tweet Attacks, but i dont use it very often and am not very experienced with Twitter so I could be wrong

Come on people. There are threads all over here about some of these programs. Doesn't anyone use any of them?

I use tweetbuddy personally, just upgraded to the 100 user package. As it's web based I don't have to worry about proxies, my computer being on etc.
It manages things like following users, removing users, adding tweets, adding tweets from rss feeds.
I do occasionaly have probs with the site disconnecting from twitter but it only takes a few secs to rectify, most importantly the support is very fast.

Can't compare it to any other software as I am after a purely web based solution.

I just got done reading through the thread posted by the owner of Tweet Buddy. It looks pretty good. I will probably use the program I have for a while and see how it goes. I may then look at buying TB.

You can add LabTweets in your list, its gaining popularity because it comes with a big number of features that are not found in the rest of the available programs
