What is the best AI content detector?

I don't think there is the best one out here because every tool gives a different percentage about, if it's AI-generated or Human-written.

Find a tool that verifies the originality of your content.
Test an article written by AI using the same tool.

Then, present these results to the client. This will prove that your content is original.
 
So, I just wanted to share the results of my experiments over the last month, and thank everyone for their suggestions.


I found that the Copyleaks AI detector is the best for my use.

For one thing, I found its success ratio to be high.
I check at least 4-5 pieces of content each day (each being 1000-2000 words on average).

I added some AI stuff as part of all articles to test it out and found it worked most of the time.

From a writer's perspective, the good thing is that it highlights which parts are AI written. It even gives a percentage (though it gives weird results sometimes).

Most importantly - it is free.

I tried Originality.AI - It works well to catch AI, but there are too many false negatives - it will point out content that I personally wrote as AI, so it doesn't work for me.

Others that I tried:
Content at scale - I would probably rate it second best.
Writer - only takes 1500 characters at a time, so basically it is useless.
Crossplag - not so great. It gives a lot of wrong results
Hugging Face - Works great for GPT3 AI writers. Not so much for Chat GPT.

Please share your thoughts!
 
They all pretty much suck. Especially for detecting gpt4

I believe its paid beyond 5000 chars which is really not of much use for my work.

I am a freelance writer... looking for free solutions :-)

I think Copyleaks does a fair job. Is it 100% accurate? No certainly not.

After a while, you even start to understand what you need to change in the AI-generated text to fool it.

But it catches straight-up untouched AI content most of the time.

Also, it tells you what part of a doc is AI generated which is specifically useful in my case.

Again, these results are specific to my use case, for other people they may not make sense.

No. This is GPT2 detector. So that's garbage.
 
Gptzero and zerogpt are the same?
They have different websites.

I think gptzero has very good detection .

I used that when I was a student and was really impressed by its quality

I don't have Turnitin. I sometimes do student assignments, in which case I use the student's login details to check for plag. Copyscape is usually considered the industry standard for blog writing.

You are right here... I tested it on some AI articles I received and for my tests I use basic prompts.
 
I have long used contentatscale for AI content detection. It is better than all other tools.

I know some of the tools which can detective ai content , these are Originality.ai, GLTR, Writer,

Hugging Face
 
You can use Content At Escale, Writter.com and Whitescream they all are free hope this can be usefull.
