What is Reasonable CTR?

Hello Mates,

i was wondering what is optimum CTR. I have got nearly one month old website. Google Analytics shows around 5500 impressions/400 clicks, which on calculation gives 14.75% CTR. Is it good, if not share your tips to improve CTR.

Its good mate. Just make sure that its not fake. Otherwise you are doing really good.

Well above 10% is said to be good but you have to work hard to take this CTR to above 25% so that it gonna be better CTR to be announced to others.

A reasonable CTR of 5% is considered good. Cant really get it too high or it'll get suspicious in Google's eyes

If you are referring to a Google Adwords CTR, generally anything at or above 1% is good and anything above 5% is exceptional. You should also look at the CTR for your industry. Some have higher standard CTR's than others. For example CTR's for home improvement companies tend to be very low (around the 1% range) and CTR's for banking/savings are at around 8%. Check out your industry CTR and see how you compare.

Of course CTR's differ depending on the platform you are using as well. CTR's for Facebook are notoriously lower than those for search engines and for good reason. People aren't going to social media to buy stuff, they are going to socialize. People go to search engines to look for content, information and to search for things to buy. CTR's for keywords can also have different meanings than CTR's for adgroup levels or campaign levels.
