What is Panda after?

Today? Yesterday?

Could it be Panda again?

No changes here. Just big increases of traffic. But thats probably coz of black friday

I've seen some changes across some websites I monitor.

I always wonder how and when will they move our websites back in top if our traffic is down. What are the signals (assuming that they are from our visitors) that move our website back in top? If the traffic is small, it could take many months until the signals say whether our website is good or bad.

Now, why if this Panda is side-wide, they leave a couple of keywords mostly untouched for us to get a little traffic? To test the entire website?

Ideas?

So this f'in giant doesn't spy on you anymore & drop you in ranks, anyone decide to use other web analytics? that is free and can monitor multiple sites?

If there is a coordinated effort like "Occupy" from webmasters and others whereby you boycott , G00*gle can be tamed instead of bowing to their roman empire like dictatorship whenever they make a change. I think this may only come once ad-$ense earnings drop to even lower levels.

Even without Google Analytics Google knows how many pageviews you have and more importantly their Google bounce rate for your website.

There was a very big Google Panda around 23 November and it seems to be another big one today or around tomorrow. From what I see they try to get rid of bad results before the Christmas season so their users will be happier.

What kind of things have you notice ?

For me, PANDA is after Link Velocity.. ! You build 1000 links a day and then suddenly stop link building. You will be fucked eventually...

Panda doesn't care about links. Panda is all about Google bounce rate and pageviews.

Panda is way bigger than we think.

I really dont agree with this, I dont really think anyone know what the latest panda want, people are just speculating, av checked sites with 1.6 unique pages per day with 70 percent bounce rate doing fine in serp

While sites with more unique pages per day and 40 - 50 percent bounce rate got hit. Nobody knows

Agreed. Almost everything that people have said about Panda can be easily be debunked. One thing I know is that Panda has not helped with quality and relevance in the niches that I'm watching.

Exactly. If you type in g00gle "how does homeopathy work" it takes you to a page that simply says, "It Doesn't". This ultra crappy page is beating out websites that were created and written by doctors that have tons of quality content.

The Panda guy should probably be fired.

There's no evidence this is from Panda. Link velocity has been measured for years before Panda.

Anyone figured out any well performing WP themes since the most recent couple of Panda updates. I lost a few sites during the October 13th Panda update and the only thing common about those sites was that I was using the CTR theme with the 3 ads above the fold. I've since removed the ads, doing more link work, and waiting for them to come back up. These sites are all very high quality original writing.

My days have been terrible since Oct 14 , its sickening !

Another site of mine got hit by Panda back in June but it bounce back 15 days after without any changes done to the site, Im still hoping for my 2 sites affected to magically bounce back :o

Agree. I stopped 80% backlinks work and yet it climbed back by itself to better rankings.

Does anyone notice a very big Panda update happening? It might be a coincidence, but it seems something big is going on.

What makes you think Panda is active again? Are you seeing movement on your or competition sites?

Everything is moving, including my website.

From what I see a small Panda update happens once a week (I have a list of hundreds of websites that are moving and losing/gaining traffic every week for Panda) and a big one happens at 2-3 months after it gathers more stats.

I will say this one more time, even if no one listens to me. It's not about links, it's all about user experience. If users in your niche like more a bunch of websites, see what they like and what stats do those websites have in common. If your users don't like a bunch of websites, see what stats do those have in common. Those that people don't like will be destroyed week by week and those that people like will gain traffic week by week (the traffic lost by the first category).

Makes sense?

I think your 100% correct about user experience. Sites that offer nothing to users except affiliate links and adsense will be getting pushed out and sites that are providing exactly what the user needs/wants will do well

Yes, user experience is the most important. Nobody wants spam in their favorite search engine.

It seems Google Panda is destroying websites on weekly basics right now. Curios when the big Panda update will be.

Google announced no more big Panda updates until the next year.

What do you think?
