What is PageRank and why does it matter?

Page ranking is a system for ranking web pages on search engines. Still, it's one of the factors used by search engines, which results in showing at the top of SERPs.
 
PageRank is a mathematical equation that is used to calculate a websites position in the SERPs. It’s also used to calculate exactly how much link juice is passed from one link to the next.

It’s actually not able to be seen anymore in the SEO toolbars or by us marketers, but it’s still a factor in determining placement in the SERPs.
 
It's basically where your page shows up in google :)
 
PageRank is a system for ranking web pages. The higher the PageRank of a link, the more authoritative it is. We can simplify the PageRank algorithm to describe it as a way for the importance of a webpage to be measured by analyzing the quantity and quality of the links that point to it.
