What is ideal Keyword density

Hi Guys,

What KW density you think is good and safe,I have more than 1% KW density on mysite but I've read it should be less than 1% or 1%.

What's your thoughts on this.

i dont target an exact %.

But i keep between 1% - 2.5%
 
between 92.4% and 93% is ideal to get ranking number 1 all day.
 
It's not about KW density OP.. Send Matt Cuts a personal email with the links to all your PBN's
 
Like other people mentioned, it's not about keyword density - even though it should be somewhere below 3%. Create your content with the focus on quality.
 
I like how you guys say KW density doesn't mater when it does!
I don't see people making articles with 30% KW density and successfully ranked ( at least for a long time ).

KW density is not a linear shit, you don't want every article to have the same KW density and also depends how much SEO you are planning to perform.
Let's say if you want to do good amount of SEO you should keep your KW density under 1% preferably something close to .5%. If you are not planing to do any SEO or light SEO you should have a KW density above 1-2.5% someone would say you can go up to 3% ( with no seo ).
 
I think it also depends if you are wanting to do Adwords/BingAds as well. I notice that with low density (less than 1%) you may have trouble in Adwords with relevance. However, in SEO you can't have too high. I probably tend to slant higher density than most, but I do a lot of Adwords, so I have to.
 
It has plenty to do with language, niche, keyword etc. I've seen niches where a much higher keyword density is needed. Look at what's ranking and that should give you an idea of optimum density for your niche.
 
.4 - .7 for 3 words + phrases , .6 - .9 for 2 word search phrases .

Keep in mind that if you will use exact match as anchors you should decrease the kw density
 
It also depends on subject.

Lets say you're writing a product description for a "Jantek AR-32 bicycle rack".

You're going to have to have the words Jantek, AR-32, bicycle, and rack in higher density that most SEO gurus would recommend. You'll probably also be saturated with similar terms like bike, bikes, racks, racked, and such. Point being it DEPENDS upon the situation. And I believe Google is smart enough to realize that.
 
I like to keep it around 1.5% (+ or - 0.5%), seems good to me.
 
I stay under 2% and my ideal, at least for me, is just above 1% like 1.2 or 1.3%
 
I repeat 3-4 times for 500 words articles. It good ranking.
 
OP. Keyword density should be 1 to 2.5% is safe on one content(500 words). You shouldnt use the keyword more than 3 times then focus on excellent quality. Its grow up your sites ranking well as well as leads traffic.

Guys, read this post a few times, or until it sinks in..

Regarding my ideal KWD, if I'm working on a Wordpress site, I'd generally fluctuate my posts' KWD between .4% - .6% for my Main Kwd and between .2% - .4%, for my LSI Kwds (3 LSI Kwds per post). Reason being, is that it flows more naturally, and also that small fact that if you've got categories, tags, recent posts, comments, etc... these things, when appearing somewhere on every page, will also bloat your KWD, causing your 2%KWD blog post to look more like 3 or 4%, depending on the # of times it appears in your pages, measured against the other verbage on your pages.

At the end of the day, it's your choice, but I'd rather focus on SEO to a slightly under-optimized site than be seen as spam / Kwd-stuffed / etc.
