What is ideal Keyword density

0.5%-0.7% for 1,000-2,000 word articles, anything above and in my views the article or the blog post begins to read funny no matter how creative
you think you might be. If it was for me I wouldn't focus on this, social activity (shares, likes) would take care of bringing you the rank awareness
you might looking for, I wouldn't focus articles primarily on this OP.

Hi Guys,

What KW density you think is good and safe,I have more than 1% KW density on mysite but I've read it should be less than 1% or 1%.

What's your thoughts on this.

Thanks!

I focus on how NATURAL the keyword flow is

I also focus on LSI-ie., keyword clusters that create CONTEXT for the whole piece

For the main keyword, 1 to 2% is fine... Again, make it flow naturally.

[h=2]What is Keyword density in SEO?[/h] In common word, Keyword density is percentage of number of times Keyword appeared on a Web page by total number of words in that page. So if in an article of 100 words you are using your Keyword 10 times, your density will be 10%. Many people use different ways and formulas to calculate Key word density and here is one such formula.

(No. of Keywords/ Total number of Keywords) * 100

There are other Formulas too....

Idea of using Keyword many times in a Blog post is to make search engine bots understand your content better and you can rank for those Keywords. But, these was something which is thing of the past and now density of Keywords, value less and quality of site and site authority matters more. Though, it doesn't meant Keyword density doesn't hold any value in SEO, in fact it's one of the factor in On page SEO checklist.

[h=3]What's ideal Keyword density Percentage According to Google:[/h] One of the most common myth is if we use our keyword many time, we will rank higher in SERP's. There is no ideal or exact percentage for better ranking, though an optimum 1-3% of Keyword density along with Semantic Keywords and LSI Keywords works for me. If we talk about Google, Google suggest to write natural article with your Keyword in article. There is no ideal percentage but having your Keyword few times with natural occurring, will be helpful.

I like naturally written content that focuses on Google's love for comparisons and synonyms with Hummingbird. Focusing on keyword % alone these days is silly.

1-2%. The idea is not about keyword density, it is about how your content flow around the keywords.

Everyone the last few years has been keeping to around 2%. I would love to see a new case study to test this out.

All of you guys giving percentages are wrong.

The truth is that there is not any ideal keyword density percentage. You should use your main keyword in your content of course, but there is no set number of times to use it. When you use a keyword over and over again, there are diminished returns on the overall SEO value. You have to be careful to not go crazy with a keyword as you may be approaching keyword stuffing which you do not want to do.

Don't take my word for this - here's Matt Cutts explaining things..

Unless you stuff the KW into every sentence and make the content a complete non-sense, this is not a crucial factor any more.

Keyword density is the biggest pile of shit in the SEO industry.

please elaborate a bit could you? dying to know what type evidence you have to back up your statement......or is this just a "feeling" you have lol

I recommend 3% keyword density. I ranked some site with 3% keyword density.
