Someone told me that 3-7 Keyword density for primary keyword and 1-2% keyword density for secondary keywords are good.

I think that sound good but really look at your competition to judge where they are at and emulate their keywprd density then make yours a tad stronger. Has worked well for me.

right now 4-5% is doing fine (didnt test higher) but i keep mine for main keyword between 2-3% and secondary at 1-2% just to the fact that google changes too often.
What is good now can be ruining your site tomorrow.

I personally would not do more than 3 keywords instead of "3-7". I try to keep my keyword density around 3%.

I would stick to approx. 2%...
Google is pretty strict these days for KW stuffing :D

Bk...

2% per page?im at 9% and the no1 guy for my keyword has 7%.im only at page 18 though. Will i be penalized?

Believe it or not but you can dominate with even 1% KW density :)
There are a lot more ranking factors to consider besides that :D

Why do people say such things? Please never forget your real life. Sometimes you speak too much in a day of your life and sometimes no word comes out of your mouth.

That shows your mood.

I just believe that Google loves moods. So do not formulate yourself with strict numbers.

A good range for keyword density for a target keyword is 2% to 6%. Meaning, when you divide the number of times you used a keyword on your page by the total number of words on your page you should get a percent somewhere between 2 and 6.

I would agree with 3%. But make sure you get your KW in the first and last sentences of the article. A great place to get higher density is to stuff your pictures
with Alt tags. That way your page is user friendly spider food. :)

I hear different opinions obout KW density from authorities in IM, somebody tells that it doesn't matter somebody tell it matters. Personally I never count density by % I just try to be relevant to what i am ranking for, i include KW in title, in the beggining, couple of times in the middle and at the end of content, never having problems with that!
