What Is Executive VIP?

Thank you @Zwielicht and everyone who decided to put me into big boy pants club, it really means a lot.

I remember that (barely) 20 year old kid that stumbled on BHW one night while searching for some facebook clickjacking script to get more likes. Little did I know that almost 11 years later I will be writing this message.

Knowledge I gained here has enabled me and my family to live a quite comfortable life without too much stress or any overtimes. And most of all, I don't have to talk to people much!

Whatever may happen in the future, I will not forget where I came from. I am really humbled, thank you everyone and congratulations to the other guys. Well deserved!

Your reaction score to post count warrants it
Is that even a criteria? Because I see multiple Jr. Execs right here on the thread who have a good reaction score to post count but they were not promoted.
Also, not trying to offend anyone, but being active is not one of the requirements for these promotions? Because I randomly checked out a newly promoted Exec and he has posted precisely 20 times in the last 6 months. But other active and helpful Jr. Execs were left out. I'm just curious how this works, hope no one's offended.

Also, congratulations to everyone who got promoted.

I don't know the criteria, I was only saying that because I liked his reaction score to post count ratio. If I were part of the decision committee I would most likely vote to upgrade him because I always like his replies, not just because of that ratio.

But yeah, I genuinely don't know who gets promoted and based on what criteria. I do have some hunches but I'll keep them to myself :)

Only the staff knows the criteria for promotion.
For good reason, too. If the full criteria were made public, it would only be picked apart and scrutinised until we ended up back where we started with two dead usergroups that nobody knows what to do with. Others would just try to turn the criteria into an exact process to follow again; "The Jr. Exec method" as I heard others call it before the group was revamped years ago.

There are multiple items in the criteria, a few of which you can ascertain by viewing the Jr. Exec thread here.

Given the bits we've made public, when we look at who to send an invite to, we compare them against the full set of criteria rather than just a single item. For instance, it's easy to figure out that activity is a requirement, but being more active than the minimum requirement in the criteria does not make one significantly more eligible to receive an invite. After all, the more active member may have one too many warnings that you cannot see, or perhaps posts in certain sections do not count toward their "activity". Do you understand what I mean?

By all means, you can try to figure out how it works, but do not rack your brain over it. This isn't Google's algorithm we're talking about here.

Anyway, in regards to these other Jr. Execs you feel were left out, there's a list of other Jr. Executive VIPs who meet the Executive VIP criteria, but haven't been promoted yet. The reasoning for this is a simple one that won't be revealed as it's not important, just expect a few more Executive VIPs this week.
