What is considered "Quality Content"?

I been thinking and I have seen Google and other sites saying "Quality Content"? What is considered "Quality Content"?

I searched the internet a received a couple of different answers. One particular person stated that a 400-500 article wouldn't be be considered quality content, since it couldn't scratch the surface of a topic.

I don't believe that word count can determine whether content is of quality.

What is your outlook of the meaning of "quality content"?

quality content = unique content and useful to reader
 
Yeah, apart from unique, the text has to make sense. Probably not so good if rephrasing the same thing over and over in each subsequent paragraph. That's it.

I use 500 to 600 words, below 300 is skimpy, above 700 is boring. These are my experiences with topics for the average user.

After Panda, it's something that's:

  • original and, therefore, unique
  • correctly punctuated and grammatically correct
  • not saturated with keywords
 
I have 10 websites and have diff content on each of them and get updated once bi weekly .. I have a different opinion regarding content ... the content must be like someone talking to someone in regular language .. nothing fancy and it will rock :)

Quality content is more than just using correct spelling and grammar. The content has to make sense and be informative. Originality is a plus. Last but not least, it has to be interesting to read. I don't mean using fancy words but more like reading an article as though the writer is casually conversating with you at a bar or whatnot.
 
As ipopbb has posted elsewhere, Google seems to like 500-2000 words, properly formatted into sentences and paragraphs. I take his postings as gospel, so this is probably good advice. But "quality content" is more than a word count. It must adequately address the subject. Several folks have already mentioned this. Write for a human audience (with consideration given the search engine, admittedly) and you're on track. Make it interesting, not a recitation of facts. Humor is good, but not everyone has the gift (nor does everyone consider the same things amusing.)

Quality content is content created by the user Ramsweb. He has a BST there and if you are looking for that kind of thing, he is your man.
 
Any content, which is unique, easy-to-read, and does not have plagiarized content can come in the league of quality content.
