This I don't always agree. Sometimes it is, sometimes it's not. In most cases, prospective buyers who will really be interested, buy and not asking for a refund are those who do not know or do not care about affiliates. A good sales or pre-sales page is already deceptive and cloaking enough :)

Search Engines do not like thin affiliate sales pages, especially if the product is not your own. So, presenting different contents to SE and real visitor might be useful sometimes.

It does work very well. You can use it to protect your valuable site by using risky SEO tactics to promote keyword stuffed sites, and then cloak it to your high converting pages. This stuff still works.
 
It's a risky technique but when it's done right, I've recently beat Panda/Penguin with it and gained first/second page rank for a certain keywords. After working my ass off for several weeks by trying/waiting days to see the results and beeing a google's bitch, I've reserved the right to use it. As a webmaster, what else is more annoying than google's algorithm change every quarter. Competition in SEO is already tough enough now you must work harder.
 
And google hasn't found out about cloaking yet? Come one!
 
Ok... So if someone made a custom DNS that was the Target keyword for use on Twitter would this count towards keyword density?
 
so your cloacking it from your competators or people over all?

I think google seems to be confused when it finds every single website is clocking at some point.
 
Great Idea i don't know about it. Really it is beneficial for us. Some what it sounds like black hat technique but some what it is a trick that help us to get ranking without any type of spamming strategy...
