Cloaking is unethical or black hat SEO practice. It is process where 2 different version of webpage content is available, one for visitors and another for search engines crawlers/robots.

Cloaking is presenting a different version of your web page to the search engine robots and a different one to the site visitors. This is done with the browser's user agent or IP address. Cloaking is mainly done to get a better rank in the search engines.

Thank you for the explanation. The problem sometimes with finding answers on BHW is the fact that there is so many threads and posts it's hard even when doing a search. Maybe there should be a glossary section?

Reading the rules and regulations of BHW helped me a lot. In fact, still many thanks to the one who asked what cloaking is. And for the contributors, BHW people are really good at helping.
