What is the best freeware niche - keyword - finder software? I have noticed that most of them are on the do not download list...Arghhh!

It is great that what we do requires some effort and research, otherwise everybody would be doing it...lol

Its not free but Micro Niche Finder is one of the best pieces of software we have found for researching niches. Well worth the cost of the software.

The Do Not Share list consists of only paid softwares and ebooks. If you want completely free tool, just use the Google Adwords Keyword tool. It's the best free keyword research tool in my opinion. Of course you might want to use some other keyword research tools to analyze the keyword competition.

Basically I use a combination of Keyword Elite+SEO Elite+Affiliate Elite to identify a good niche. I used Micro Niche Finder to identify long tail keywords and compare the results with Keyword Elite.

Market Sammurai's keyword research part is also free and very good.

http://pulse*ebay*com/
http://www*amazon*com/gp/bestsellers
http://www*shopping*com/top_searches

These are some great sites to have in your arsenal. I feel they are rather self explanatory but if you need me to explain how one works I will write a walk through for it.

Maybe the softwares arent whats lacking, but rather an efficient approach/method to find/identify them. I would welcome any guides/posts on the subject :)

This is nothing new, but works pretty good for me.

Use Ebay Pulse to identify good selling products and create keywords from them.
If you identify a product niche you like, do a search for completed auctions. That will tell you if there are a lot of completed sales and how much they are selling for.

Then do a normal eBay search and the search result page will list related terms below the search box.
Code:
http://pulse.ebay.com/

You can apply the same niche search on Amazon.
Search for the hottest selling products on Amazon and then use the product names to create long tail keywords.
You can then take those products and search for them on Ebay to see how they are selling and get related search terms.

Code:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers

Once you have an idea for a target keyword, go to the goog keyword tool and do a search and get an idea of how many searches per month a term is getting plus related keywords.

Code:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

You can apply this technique to a BANS site, Amazon affiliate or Adsense.

The hard part is determining how heavy your competition is for a particular keyword. And I have not run across any free software that will analyze how well a keyword is SEO'd. I have only recently started using Micro Niche Finder and it does that analysis. So I can decide if it is worth the effort to target a particular long tail keyword.

I've been using Micro Niche Finder its very good, but i always try to get info from other sources aswell.

Micro Niche Finder is one of the best but you can also use market Samurai for keyword research.

i need help plzz i dont even no how to post my own thread post on here smh but am trying to find keywords for free and also something like scrapebox trying to start website affiliate

Get Keyword Researcher - it has a free nearly fully functional version, it's the most powerful keyword tool I even seen.

I've used Micro Niche Finder for several years. Not free, but well worth the investment. More recently I got Keyword Researcher and have been using both. Then a week or so ago I decided to try Long Tail Pro and got it while it was on special offer. That also looks to be very good but whether I'll use it as much as the other two I'm not sure. Often the three, if I had to choose just one, my vote would go to Micro Niche Finder.

In my opinion Google Keywords Tool is the best free tool. However the free version of Market Samurai is also worth a look (if you can invest in the one time payment ... I think it is $99 ... that's great too).
