So ya , you definately not want to go by the whitehat definition of what autoblog is, you gotta find a working autoblog and try to build something like that. Also you should check how old is the autoblog is, basically how authoritative it is. May be build a regular blog and slowly turn it into an autoblog.
Auto blogging?? As far as you have confident enough to drive traffic you may go for it. Else it won't help.

Autoblogging is a method that has been used for a long time now, and at some point, it was profitable in terms of saving time and generating more content in a short time, but now it can even be a risky method, especially if you're a beginner and don't know how to handle it properly. So, I wouldn't actually recommend it at this point, as there are lot more other tactics that can be a lot more beneficial than this one, so it's really not worth risking, at least not now.
