What is an SEO EXPERT ?

i think the majority of members in this forum understand SEO and use iit and apply it on their website .

but when can a person really call himself as an SEO expert or SEO Guru as we see these nicknames pop-up more often lately .

What do you think ? Share your thoughts

I use it to get clients. SEO Expert as someone who knows somethig advanced.

SEO guru, i never used that, because i never promise to be first on google following this simple 10 steps for any business.
 
I’m okay with people calling themselves experienced. Experts on the other hand make me cringe.

I would agree.

Expert in the SEO world is used by people who often know nothing but pretend they know everything for why most people when they claim they are SEO expert get ignored since it's non a useless person in most cases.
 
i would consider any jr exec vip as seo experts here. interesting thing is that I have never seen any jr exec vip saying that they are experts!
 
SEO is such a wide field of topics no1 knows everything to be that expert
me. i no proxies, scraper tools ect, does that make me an SEO expert
not even close.....so anyone claiming they no everything seo wise is full
of doodooo :D

And I think those definitions are pretty accurate.

One word I truly hate and I think it´s strongly related to "expert" and we hear it all the time is "guru".

As in any profession, An SEO expert is a person who worked some years, and know how to get results, anyone else is just a wannabe. Would you let a person that have been a carpenter for a month build your house, just because he says he is an expert carpenter, did not think so, just a wannabe low income hustler.

An SEO expert is a person who is considered to be an expert in ranking websites in search engines, through various techniques such as optimization, etc.

By nicknames, do you mean user names ? If so, then a user name may not always represent what a person is in reality or does in reality. For example a user name "AlienFromSpace" is most probably not an alien from space, but a human being on planet Earth.
 
A person that can get a website indexed heigh on Google.

An expert understand SEO deep information and optimization and keep up with all updates .
 
OP SEO Expert is not like a real title of something which is governed by skills or qualification it's just title someone invented then became popular around 2008 .

Most people who claim they are SEO expert read the meaning of SEO a few minutes ago now are theory the greatest SEO in the world for why so many often when they do this have to do a runner when they screw someone over best example I could give you be someone known as Ali Khan around 8 years ago he was going around SEO world bragging about his success when he was in reality very stupid at SEO last I heard he got sued by someone he scammed for why he deleted his Facebook account and website but he was always going online bragging about his skills
