In my experience, I can say 100% AI content does not perfectly rank on search engines. I think plagiarism issues probably affect this. because we use many plagiarism tools that can't work properly and give us the original signal. So I suggest myself to involve human touch for this.

Agreed. Even AI content works, but it still needs edits. AI is good, but not good enough until there is a human touch to it. AI alone cannot bring quality. I think it is good in temrs it fastens the process.

Yes. I still edit my AI content. I generate it in parts never fully. Because If i generate full articles in one go, the articles generated after first one will be very similar to first one. i.e. they will feel they are paraphrased version of first one.
So creating format of the article first and then generating the article section by section is the best way.

This is a case of correlation being mistaken for causality.
The results have zero to do with whether the content is AI, edited or human.
It's to do with whether the content satisfies the multiple intents belonging to the core search query.
Edited content is more likely to do that.
AI content can do that if you have the right tools.

while ai can produce drafts rapidly, they tend to be flat. adding personal flair and thoughtful details makes the content read naturally and rank more effectively.

Still editing. Posting AI content as-is just doesn’t seem to hold up for long. Even small edits make a difference like changing wording, adding examples, or adjusting the structure. It doesn’t have to be perfect but leaving it untouched usually doesn’t end well.
Editing AI content before publishing is a key component to strong search rankings, amongst other things. AI provides a solid draft, but adding your own structure and insights improves both quality and performance of everything written. Search engines reward useful, well-refined content, but a human touch makes it authentic and adds that quality that AI doesn't necessarily provide.

I will be the first person to say it. The rank drop may or may not be caused by AI. I have since learned that Google factors content update in its ranking, so that could be the primary reason the edited content remained on the SERPs.

I think in the long run even if your ai content is ranking google ai detectors will get better and derank your articles in the long run. It us best to humanize it as muxh as possible.

Editing with your own experience and structure makes the content more trustworthy and helps it stick in rankings.
