Call center operations are not that easy to be caught up by AI programs just yet.
Not true. Call centers use AI extensively for operations/organization, just not for the actual speech.

Well, that's what I meant by my statement. Any call center employee worth his salt will agree with me since I've worked for nearly 3 years in Call centers. I wouldn't go far by saying I know everything about it. But having said that, I'm pretty sure AI is not going to catch up so soon. Be it Sales or Customer Service, this job requires deep "Human" skills which AI programs are not capable of yet. Right now the AI is restricted to filtering calls and its flow to make sure a particular "call type" lands to the specific department. That's the extent of it. Nothing more! Not true. lolhaha, breaking up with your girlfriend via Google Assistant is the best![]()

Seems you are getting way out of the topic now. It was about AI replacing call centers. This article shows other applications of AI currently, such as analyzing a call for effectiveness, managing human resources, etc: https://www.computerweekly.com/opin...he-role-of-call-centres-and-call-centre-staff
I think it is innovation at its peak. Google Assistant will outsource the people's job. They can increase the productivity level of the call centres. But nothing is better than talking to an actual person. What do you guys think about it?
Looking forward to see Google overcome this in the future.
Technology that has human touchWhen i contact a call centre, i want a real human to respond to my inquiries. I am in favour of using technology in companies but you can't just discard the human figure. This issue must be addressed immediately before the corporations start implementing the technology.
Yeah when you get those calls all the time and you have to hang up on humans on a regular basis you'll not feel bad for itI'm sick of the automated calls I get all the time, but at least I know its a bot and I can hang up without feeling bad about it. With this you can hardly tell the difference!
