What happened to PayPal?

I love how this started as a rant about PayPal and now it's all about trump, politics, conspiracy, steel beams

So how can a non-US citizen get a US bank account?

Does anyone have suggestion? I just need to somehow transfer money to US bank account and then to my local one.

Hey Tronox,

Generally speaking, you may want to try setting up an offshore US banking account in one of those banks; WFC, BOA ML etc. Upon approval, the rest is history.

Peace,
VXS

paypal is a best shit of all time , i lost my 15000$ with paypal , everything you do is suspicious unless against of it proof

I've noticed that this company is slowly but surely going downhill. Removing withdrawal options as years go by, vague and shitty support, longer and longer waiting times, etc. If you ask them why I can only withdraw money to U.S bank account they don't answer or just answer that I can transfer to U.S bank account (like fucking robots). Basically I have some money in my old PayPal account and turns out that I can only buy stuff (not everywhere though, options are declining too) or send money to someone else who happens to have PP account. So, basically, after a few years, PayPal money will become monopoly money? Or Am I missing something?

I also noticed that everyone still uses this fiat money, a large number of affiliate programs still only pay to PayPal account...

PayPal debit card: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/debit-card (404)

Which country paypal are you using?

What are you suggesting? Clearly not U.S.

I'm located in Lithuania (Asia)

Just wanted to know from where you are... As you mentioned they are saying that you can only withdraw money to US bank and you didn't mention anything about your location, sorry if I missed any post where you did...
BTW, yeah it's pretty much fu*ked up with them... They will be history in coming year...

I am using paypal , only when there are't any other options.

I do hope that there will be more other alternative to Paypal available.

I have serious troubles with PayPal support as well. Keep trying to contact with their customer care via Facebook, email and message center, but all in vain. Do you guys have any idea on how to contact them successfully online?

I have tried to contact them via message center, and it takes ages to get a reply there. (I guess like 2 weeks?)

If you want to get a quick response, the best way is by phone.

At India, PP is not allowed too and many CCs are unrecognized. This is quite a turn-off for the nation as well as a loss to PP - less one avenue to profit. However, they're one of the biggest payment processor hence it's up to their calling and we can't do anything about, no?

Peace,
VXS

Dont believe everything you read on the net. 1. Paypal is allowed in India. 2. you need to withdraw funds in a day. this rule is implemented by the RBI not paypal because of interests. 3. cards with international transactions enabled work on paypal. this is the case with all sites not just paypal. the reason for this is that indian cards have 3d secure enabled which...... you can google the rest

Hey, can someone point us to a thread inside or outside of BHW that shows step by step how to open an offshore US bank account ?
Is it taking a lot of months before getting approved (if approved) ?

even I didnt use paypal much, just recently

but I have to agree with OP in some extend, paypal service in China is sucks, never got response, so just pray you got no problem, or you are falling into unlimited circle and shits

i don't really see any change throughout the years and i can't say that i'd ever had any serious issue with them aside from their usual limitation BS, but if you do as they ask (which is pretty easy if you have a legit account and not doing anything shady), they're pretty quick in removing limits

but then again, i'm not a merchant, who deals with PayPal payments regularly, maybe in that case i'd have a different opinion :)

It's not about limits actually, I have to admit, I'm not a high earner ;) It's about that I can't cash out that money because I'm not located in U.S.

where are you located then? i'm not from US either, i'm from Central Eastern EU and i can withdraw without any problem, it's not like only US people could withdraw money to their bank accounts, if it's what they're telling you, whoever was that, he/she didn't know his/her ass from his/her elbow

if you can't withdraw, your country must be on the list of countries where withdrawal is not supported, which you can't do anything about unfortunately

if anything, withdrawal become quicker for me especially in the last year, although mainly it's not PayPal's merit, but the changes in the banking system of my country

@K.H.R.: the PayPal debit card is only available in a few countries: US, UK for sure, not sure about others

Paypal socks, lately I wanted to withdraw money from PP to Payoneer and they said that they don't work with Payoneer anymore.

Eastern Europe too.

Eastern Europe too.
not sure then, check the supported/unsupported countries for withdrawal or try to speak with them on the phone

PayPal might be right with this one though, i can't seem to locate any up to date info about the supported countries for withdrawal, however i found an older post which states that in 64 countries people can withdraw their balance to only US bank accounts, go figure, how are you supposed to open a US bank account legally when you aren't a US resident?! i guess that's when VBAs come into play

however if it turns out, that your country is supported for withdrawals and you have a legit PayPal on your name then adding a bank account which you have/open in your country should do the trick, at least that's what i would expect

Well, I guess fuck PayPal... I'm going to start moving away from PayPal. At first, they removed payoneer, then they removed Mastro credit card, then they removed all credit cards... More and more companies are not accepting it and soon enough all I'll have is just a bunch of monopoly money I can't use...
