What does numbered sub-domain type anchor text mean?

I have seen in many expired/expiring domains, there are anchor texts in this particular format:

xxxxxxx.[space]domain.tld, where "xxxxxxx" is any random number.

What does it mean?

The number means nothing, it's the same as you'd create subdomain1.yourwebsite.com, subdomain2.yourwebsite.com and so on, and instead of letters, you just use numbers. Personally I'd avoid any domain with a large number of subdomains as they could have been abused for link building. And that space doesn't make sense as there are no spaces in a domain.

It's not a subdomain that I am talking about. It's the anchor text that looks like that. Here's a picture for your understanding. The domain is not available but it would show you what I am talking about.

Most of these kind of links are coming from the network of theglobe dot net, the biggest referral spamming network in the world. You can find more info on this forum.

Yes, all are related to theglobe network, they scrape the whole web, and to manage and list easy the links they use numbers as id's!

oh, I have seen the the-globe network before in a few websites' referring domains pages. Since the-globe sites seemed to possess high authority, I didn't look much into it.

So, in short, this anchor text means the domain has been involved with a spamming network and I should stay away from it. Noted.

The globe sites have very low authority. But even if the expired domain has many links like that, it's no problem usually, it shouldn'r stop you from buying that domain.

Strange you say that. Globe sites normally show very high DR on Ahrefs. But does it not mean that they have been used for PBN or spamming purposes before? Or does it not matter?
