So we all know that money is a transfer of value. People trade money for something they value whether that be a product or service.

And there is the common philosophy about money that "you will get in return, in multiples, the amount of value you add to the world."

I've even heard of some people who say their philosophy is to keep adding as much value as they can until the world has to notice the contribution and give back.

And there might even be some people who might be working hard, and unfortunately, do not see results because it is not adding enough of the right type of value to the lives of others. An example of this in the SEO world I think would be spending too much money on backlinks and services to drive traffic to you, with the mindset is focused on how "you can get more traffic," when that is arguably the opposite of adding value.

So the question for this discussion is "what does 'giving/adding' value mean to you?" What are some good examples?

To me, it's small amounts of happiness you can give each person just by helping them out a little bit. I try to be helpful around the forums because I once was a marketer without experience hungry for those paychecks.
To summarize: Pay it forward.

It is sales basics: in order to justify the spent money you have to prove that your service (or goods) is more valuable to the buyer than money spent.

Value can come in helping people solve a problem without any fee. Multiple articles which educates a person on a subject/problem they got etc. Content is value if you do it right.
