What do you think???

If Myspace were to relaunch with modern features, people might revisit the platform out of nostalgia at first, but the only way they would stay long-term is if it offered something truly unique that today’s major social networks do not already provide, because nostalgia alone cannot support a lasting comeback.

Nostalgia would be a strong initial draw, but for people to actually return and stay, it would need to offer a unique, modern purpose that Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok don't already fill. It's a very difficult challenge.

It had a good run, but it's the internet and very few things last forever.

It was always nice to get a Hi from Tom when you joined though.

If MySpace relaunched with modern features while preserving its creative, music-focused identity, it could attract a niche audience beyond nostalgia, especially among artists and fans seeking a more expressive and community-driven alternative to mainstream platforms.

MySpace would have to come back with some sort of unique features that set it apart from the others while being able to capture younger audiences. It would be tough. Having a super customizable profile page, integrating music, etc. would be cool like the old days.

At first, people would come back for nostalgia, but to keep them, Myspace would need modern features like easy posting, discovery, and real engagement.

Probably more for nostalgia, but I'd love to think they might introduce genuinely innovative features!

If Myspace relaunched with modern features, do you think people would actually return, or would nostalgia be the only draw?
even with modern features like a slick mobile app, algorithm feed, stories, and better monetization, I don’t think people would actually return in any meaningful way. The main draw would still be pure nostalgia — a short spike of sign-ups from curious 30-somethings reminiscing about Top 8 and profile songs. But the network effect is completely gone; everyone’s friends, habits, and content creation have moved permanently to Instagram, TikTok, and Threads. Rebuilding connections from scratch feels pointless now, so active daily users and real engagement would drop off fast after the initial hype. Nostalgia alone isn’t enough to revive it.
