If you want money page content never go with 100% automatically created articles. You could, of course, use such for ideas and this will certainly help you create articles faster. There are websites with such content ranking pretty well in Google still but somehow I doubt that they will last much longer.

And for backlinking, talking about Tier 2+, one of the best things you can do is make sure the content your links are in is different. Sure, overall uniqueness is great but imagine Google seeing 200 backlinks pointing to one website with identical content (or poorly spun for that matter).

AB articles were perfect for backlinking but the problem is that too many people are using the same snippets. I don't know how often they update their snippets but the fact is that they are not keyword specific but niche specific and more and more people are complaining about getting duplicate articles from AB.

I have read all the thread and some of the comments are interesting, some from newbies some from intermediate marketers and some from so appointed experts, here's my take on using ArticleBuilder and any of the other article creators out there.
A lot of folks are being fed misdirection when it comes to articles, content etc, l think they get confused with what google is saying to them regarding duplicate content on their websites and any punishment google may hand out because of the duplicate content.

Let me take you in a different direction, for example if you go to any of the very big brand corporation news sites including a site like CNN you'll find that with comparison most of the content they produce is day is similar or the same news content but just presented slightly different or with a twist and these sites are some of the biggest curation users on the internet, does it hurt their positions as a news site or rankings on google, the answer is a big fat no.
I have built private web 2 blog rings, several within blogger that is owned by google and none of the updates have hit the sites and all of the sites have rewritten plr or ex ezine articles content on them, some of these sites have a high pr on them which attracts regular requests for paid links from the sites, no l have not told you any of this to brag or show people up, but my comments are based upon actual testing and not an opinion which leads me to suggest to you that if you have concerns about any content or any software then set a free web 2 property for yourself and actual test your theories that way you'll have all of the answers to your questions and not have to be misled by someone elses book knowledge.

Just to add to the discussion, l also have an article rewriter that uses unicode to encode any article l choose and it passes copyscape every time with a 100% however the content remains identical and it takes just one click to do this in about a second, Google's robots cannot read the coding behind the articles.

I've used it,

Pros:
1. Automatically & instantly generate articles on the fly.
2. You can easily grab articles to publish on your websites if they are relevant to your niche.
3. Lot of categories to choose articles from.
4. Update article database every month (that's what they say)

Cons:
1. Cost $297 per year or $197 per year if you buy it via a special discount link
2. They are spun articles and not 100% unique.
3. Other versions of spun articles may have used by other users before.
4. It's not possible to get articles for any niche you select (because only most popular niche categories are available)

Submit one of your sites using AB and unicode articles to Google for a new Adsense Account and see what response they send back. I already know but go ahead and humor us.

Drop adsense code on sites built with AB articles and unicode articles and get a few clicks and see what Google does. Again I already know but you seem to like real life experiments so lets see if you get the same results about 50 of my clients got.

I've had an AB sub since AB was released. It's great filler for people that demand such. But to rank, build traffic or get approved for Adsense, you have a snowballs chance in hell. If you already have an Adsense account and foolish enough to drop your code on those sites you'll see Google ban the site in less than a week once it starts getting clicks. As long as you don't get clicks you're good. Nice eye candy but no results. Get just a few clicks and expect a letter from Google saying your site jeopardizes advertisers therefore Adsense has been disabled.

I know an idiot that got websites banned, a warning from Google to stop and he still continued putting his code on sites built with AB articles and Google finally banned his 10 year old account for no other reason than continually putting his code on sites built with AB articles that Google says violates their Webmaster guidelines.

As for unicode articles, please already. Google can't read the code? Google specifically names unicode article tricks in their webmaster guidelines and quite clearly says don't do it. You might as well drop some hidden links and blended text on that site as well. Google probably can't see it. LMFAO.

I don't read books but maybe I should; on second thought I would have missed that these 3 year old guru secrets that were dispelled at least 2-1/2 years ago. You should put the books down and spend more time on BHW.
 
Great thread guys! I just spent 20 good mins to go through the entire thread and it literally forced me to join the forum in search of more SEO knowledge and help.

I have finally decided not to buy AB which I was about to do.

How do you suggest I should create content for backlinking purposes? Grab an article from any website related to my niche, re-write it in my own words and use TBS to create 200 odd spun versions? Is that the best way to go about it?
 
I was looking in to buying article builder but just noticed the Earnings Disclaimer on Article Builders site. Could help but laugh with it :-) Reall funny:

It's like they are saying all they're claims are there just to entertain people in getting their money.


Anyways, i suppose a lot of other sites have the same disclaimer, just thought of sharing it ...
 
I saw a few websites from the competitors of the people I work for and when I see their marketing and SEO texts it looks very weird like if someone translated chinese to english through google translate and pasted in it, also repeating the company name every sentence. Is this the kind of software they use to generate it?

Jon Leger is a famous name in producing quality products. It is still effective and keep updated with new contents. Get an article from AB and then manually spin it in TBS (the best spinner) for better results. Read more here to get it with discount and bonus.
 
I'll throw my 2 cents in here.

If you're in a saturated niche - forget it.

But if your niche isn't that saturated it could be a good buy.

I use the included spinner and spin at phrase level to get very readable content.

I then use a mashing program to mash it with other articles and get a result that passes copyscape and is readable.

Article Builder each post is built by weaving together snippets to construct an article based on your class and subtopic options. Since we've tens of thousands of categorized snippets in the database, every single time you create an article, it's different!
 
Great thread everyone. I think $297/$197 per year is way too steep. You get small articles written for cheap and spin them for $300 too.

There are lots of other things you can use it for;

  • Grabbing comments (just take the sentances and use them as comments in scrapebox)

  • Finding MEME's REAL quick with the Google News scraper (sometimes getting in early is the best thing you can do)
Hell - there are quite a few things it can do..question is does your IM strategy need to do these things or not?

Answer that question and you'll know whewther this tool is worth it or not for you.

If you want to pad out an established WEB 2 ring with some serious bulk over the course of a week or two then using the autowrite feature is ok. It's not original, and I would only do it to a WEB2 that already had 5 or more GOOD articles on it, but some of this stuff helps to bulk out the established stuff.

The site owners and Google pay less attention to sites that have a good rep - and they love regular updates and lots of it. You may need to cut corners somewhere, and this type of tool helps a lot with that.

Writing good stuff for your own sites or the first 5-10 posts of your 1st tier linking?

Nope - this sort of content is not good enough - except for research - but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty it can do.


Here's an SEO rule that still works and may well always work.

QUALITY at your site - and up close
QUANTITY wins the further out you get.

You think when you buy a 50,000 scrapebox blast or Xrumer hit they have a writer typing away unique comments or profile sigs for you?

Thanks for this. Saw a service offering manual built Web 2.0s with supossdly unique articles from 'articlebuilder' but from this comment and others on this thread I can see Articlebuilder articles aren't the best for tier 1.
