What do you include in SEO reports for clients?

What do you include in SEO reports for clients?

One of my clients asks for a report every 15 days. I’m just curious what other people are doing.

I often include:
New blog posts
Google Search Console metrics
Google Business Profile metrics
Some backlink-related work
For a 15-day report, I’d keep it concise and highlight what changed, why it matters, and what we’re doing next rather than filling it with unnecessary metrics. like

Keywords in Top 10: 24 → 31
Keywords in Top 3: 7 → 10
Organic leads/conversions: 32 → 41 (+28%)
New referring domains: +8
Pages improved: 12 pages moved up significantly

I usually keep reports simple traffic rankings GSC data and the main work done during the period Clients seem to prefer clear numbers over too much detail

I usually keep 15-day reports fairly simple: GSC performance and keyword movements, work completed content, on-page, backlinks, new pages/posts, technical issues fixed, and a short section on what we’re focusing on next. I find clients care more about the progress and actions behind the numbers

I tend to add up below as part while share the report of my clients,

- AI search visibilty
- Backlinks growth and RDs
- Indexation status
- Actions completed Vs Pending
- Competiter Movement
- Before / After captures
- Clear prioriesed next plan as part

Sounds makes sense nah.... and my clients are happy about this format too.

For a 15 day report i would keep things simple and just concentrate on the changes that have occurred this would consist of organic traffic changes ranking changes google search console results content produced backlinks and task achievements a brief comparison with the last report can also help explain progress made.

Valuable

I usually SEO keep reports simple and focused on progress; new content published, Search console performance, Google Business profile insights backlink work, ranking changes and the key actions planed for the next period.

I usually include rankings, organic traffic, GSC data, completed SEO tasks, and backlink updates.
I also add key changes from the reporting period and the next steps.
This gives clients a clear picture without making the report too complicated.

For those of you managing several clients, how do you actually put the report together?

Do you have a dashboard that automatically pulls the data, or are you still exporting/copying things from GSC, Analytics, rank trackers, backlink tools, etc. and putting the report together yourself?

I’d keep it simple: traffic, Search Console data, rankings, new content, backlinks, and what I plan to work on next.

Asking you for an SEO report on every 15 days, is it 15 days from the day you started the SEO or what? Because for me I think 15 days is too early to start seeing results.
Yes, 15 days is quite a short period to measure the effects of SEO. I would consider using bi-weekly reports only for monitoring the progress and for initial feedbacks, and measure the results in the course of 2-3 months.

I usually keep 15 day reports pretty simple:
  • GSC traffic & impressions
  • Keyword movements
  • Work completed
  • New backlinks
  • New content published
  • Important issues/opportunities
  • Next steps
