What do you hate most about SEO services on BHW?

Fake reviews!! This shit has got out of control here.

Sweat shops selling bullshit links but advertising them as quality.. undercutting people selling actual quality. Short lived business model but rampant in the market place.

Spider Man Squirted All Over My Face SEO... what the fuck is this fascination with movie characters and tv shows GTFO.. No one heard of relevant branding around here? smh

Sellers that feel the need to post 10000000s of reviews each time they take a new page.. fuck off with your lagging my screen bullshit.

"cherry gum drop" "rising moon eclipse" or what ever - "BRAND NEW LINK type" bullshit threads.. fuck off with your lies we know it's simply posts on authority sites aka parasite pages. I've seen a few of these lately.. anything for a quick buck!

White Hat services by "reputable" members (lol).. yet can't send their clients a report at the end of the month!? Yeah because their fake old asses outsource to fiverr.. you're fooling no one!

Worse still reports without providing the client login details to the PUBLIC properties in said report.. dafuck are your clients paying for here!?

Last but by no means least... Fucking "SEO" Sellers that don't know shit about SEO - LOTS of them around here..

Ones that are severe bullshit and allowed to exist. Panda safe, Penguin safe, Matt Cutts approved links, Whitehat link building, and outstanding reviews by one day old accounts that only ever feel the need to post one post telling everyone just how good the BST is.

This!

And the ones that say "Post in thread to receive a coupon". It's obviously why they do it, it's not normal and it "simulates" activity and interest in that thread just to keep it as much as possible on the homepage. This shouldn't be allowed, yet I've seen it on several threads already.

So the thread gets bumped when they ask for a coupon and again when the seller says "PM with coupon sent!".

Mods, please stop approving this!

Edit: Oh yeah, and the ones that make you "Post a confirmation message in our thread to start the order", WTF is this? Shameless and useless forced bumps.

People who use filthy pictures.

Poor communication, missing a turn around time, and being dishonest are what I hate most. Do not avoid me after I placed an order and avoid PMs asking the status of my order once the TAT has passed. Then, don't lie on threads when buyers express their concerns. It just makes a seller look worse when they tell an easily verifiable lie on their sales thread in an effort to negate the bad press they have already received. I think a LOT of sellers on this forum and others start out with good intentions, but they get overwhelmed and can't handle the volume. Especially operations that are just one or two man shows.

It's kind of out of topic, but envision this :

BHW working as an escrow service (like upwork or freelancer). This way we get rid of most of the fake reviews, and we can actually implement ratings on all those things we like to note : TAT, communication, reliability etc etc.

What I mean is that there must be a solution to the growing lack of seriousness in the the BST threads.

In the most part I have a good experience. Few sellers have provided a shit service but if they do it's their loss IMHO.

This is actually in the works.. last time I spoke with Damien he mentioned something very similar to this coming to fruition after they got the forum upgrade out of the way.

I would love this, but I feel like it's the sort of issue BHW doesn't want to get itself involved in. I think the minimum, though, would be a more stringent mod review process (including vetting the BS claims a seller makes) and perhaps periodic mod spot checks (unannounced?) to ensure that a seller doesn't provide a high quality service just for the mod and then lets things go to shit after.

Well shit, I stand corrected. That would be awesome.

Yup something along the lines of an amazon type system from what I could gather.. sales go through bhw so only real sales will be able to leave reviews. Guessing it's some time off yet but it's on the table from I've been told.

About damn time.. I'm getting annoyed at all the fake reviews and fake "show me samples"

It takes me forever to filter ou spam/fake reviews on a Service that I am looking at

Given the thread by Apricot a little while back and many of the comments in this thread it sounds like fake reviews are a WAY bigger problem than I realized. Yikes. A "verified buyer" review system would definitely be a big help in that case.

Any word on if this will impact the fee structure of having a Marketplace thread? I wouldn't even be mad if BHW took a percentage of each sale as the cost of keeping everything legit.

There are many things that piss many people off, my number 1 is - The seller sending a pm to a person who has asked an important question on the thread rather than posting the answer on the thread.

My Dog Just Farted And It Stinks

This.

Holy shit I hate when sellers do this. They're either lying or trying to hide something.

Blog posts sellers especially. They love to post publicly about their domain stats, but ask about content quality and you'll be asked to check your PM

Its a public forum, public thread. It should be against the rules to not answer the question publicly

No idea on the second part.. but like you I'd be more than happy to pay a "fee" if it meant the market place was much cleaner!

Copy that. I spend hours making sure what I buy is of quality and as described, without in fin finding clear answer. Paying 1 to 5% of the final price to garantee the service quality would be nothing.
